Yes. You do…. And dont think it is not an obvious (and cheap) trick, which Jim and I can easily see though!
Sh**!
I meant "downward spiral" in the nicest possible way. Downard spirals are great for unwinding...definitely worth those mornings when you wake up & say "please let me get through this...I'll never blog like that again!"
I meant “downward spiral†in the nicest possible way. Downard spirals are great for unwinding…definitely worth those mornings when you wake up & say “please let me get through this…I’ll never blog like that again!â€
I think it's called "bloggers remorse." I've had those days.
SQT, Jamie's your "wing-woman". We completely understand the concept...we invented it.

That's right! (I actually had to have my husband explain the wing-man concept to me, I had no idea what it was. Maybe that's a good thing.)
Actually, I wish I had known about the wing-man concept sooner, I could've used one in my dating days. But at least I have Jamie to cover me on the blog. Heaven knows I could use the help.
That's one thing...I don't get the Bob Ross deal...maybe I should look into it. Some TV painter dude? Does he really look like you?
"Downward spiral is also an understatement when discussing my last three days conversations on the blog here…"
Aww, come now..."understatement", "overstatement" such absolute words. How bout just "differestatement".
The J radar... I could use some coverage right now.
I don't know what it is, but Jamie does bring out the devil in me. In a good way though...
Once you see Bob Ross, you will know how deeply you cut me with that last comment SQT….
SJ Jim made the Bob Ross reference. I have made no Bob Ross comments.. despite all the BAD comments from you..... See, I am a good girl.
"...bring out the devil in me. In a good way though..."
There are good devils & there are bad devils...then there are emoticons.
I meant no disrespect about the wing-woman comment. I simply meant that my comments don't look as lame when Jamie has everyone laughing.
But getting back to why I would feel guilty in advance…… you were mentioning that the kids were at the grandparents, and I was just wondering….
About the costume?? That's for me to know........
Actually, I haven't been able to get the costume yet. I may end up going as a Catholic Schoolgirl...........I have that costume already. What does that say about me? Don't answer that!
"I simply meant that my comments don’t look as lame..."
If anyone was worried about their comments looking lame, we wouldn't be here. I sometimes think I type the lamest shit (& I'm sure some would agree). Then, I say "what the hell", and click "Submit Comment".
Of course we need to be conscious & respectful of this communication platform we've been generously provided with...but it's only the "huh" thread afterall, & less-inclined members have written it off by now.
The Catholic Schoolgirl costume is actually of the Molly Shannon character off of SNL, it's pretty funny.
Hmmmm…. I think Jim should wheigh in here on what your choice of costumes tends to say about you …
I went as a nun when I was pregnant with my son. I told everyone I was "Mother Theresa."
"I may end up going as a Catholic Schoolgirl"
Might stick with the tried & true, huh? ;)
Oh & you should never say "That's for me to know...." because it implies that a "...and for you to find out" is soon to follow. :)
Well, I am a BIT dissapointed, as I for one would really enjoyed hearing more about the nurse outfit. Mostly just because you would have many more awkward details to have to describe to us….
I try to avoid the akward details as much as possible. I may still go as the nurse though... but I avoid conversations about extra-curricular activities. Too embarrassing.
I have never met a catholic schoolgirl, nor a pregnant nun. Wait a minute, are the catholic schoolgirls the ones with the short plaid skirts? Maybe I have.
What was the Molly Shannon schoolgirl SNL skit? Drawing a blank here.
I think you should combine the catholic schoolgirl and nurse costumes...that would definitely be a showstopper. [thinks too self: Hmmm...I should call my producer friend in LA]

They actually made a movie about that character, I think it was called "Superstar," but I didn't see it. Her character would always launch into monologues from movies like "Flashdance" and when she was nervous would put her hands in her armpits, then smell them (I avoided that part of the characterization... accuracy isn't that important) She was also really clumsy and fell a lot. Stuff like that.
As long as the outfit has lots of white. Over, under around….
Would you look at the time......
Okay, I remember th skit...she was really nervous & strung up like.
"Would you look at the time…… "
Yeah, no kidding. Time flies when talking about catholic girl-nurse-white stuff.
entendre. yeah, that's it...entendre.
I just remember him flying around the world & reversing the earth's rotation. I was probably 1 or 2 years too young to think about the pink.
"The pink line was so funny because of the look on his face… "
LOL. I might just rent the movie to check that out...also to take note of the progress of movie special FX since then.
Did you see the new thread on inflation?
He He He
He said "inflation."
I heard back from Jamie, she says she'll probably check back in a few days. I think the blog was affecting her work..... I can't imagine why.
Jack
You must be baiting me, "hard evidence" and "social intercourse" in one post? That has to be deliberate.
I think it might be time to organize a search party for Mr. Fuchs.
Here's what Jamie said
I am so weak, I’m sure I’ll be back within hours or a day at most. I was just feeling guilty for clogging up the board with silliness and also for getting behind on my deadlines, so I thought banning myself would force me to get some work done. Ha!
Thank you for your note. I miss chatting with you guys and will return ASAP
That is the hard part of being self employed. Nobody to make you have to be there every moment. Too easy to goof off…
I have the same problem being a stay at home mom. Fortunately the kids don't mind if I miss any deadlines.
Well, since the only deadline so far is bedtime, they're really forgving. I guess I'll have to shape up as time goes on though......
I am not sure. I have to remember to ask. I never know if its cool to pry on here about things like that, you know what I mean? Where do we draw the line in these matters?
Good point, I just thought maybe she had said and I missed it. I miss writing sometimes, and I was curious about what kind of field she was in.
Wow, I had a couple of serious posts! I wasn't sure I was capable of them anymore.
But I know what you mean. I start to think that I will be labled as “the weird guy in the Huh thread†after a couple of posting sessions in here! hahaha
Only after the posting sessions in the "huh" thread? As Surfer-X would say, I kid I kid.
