Don’t just take it from me. A former SPLC employee said he had been “part of the con,” a “highly profitable scam” to scare donors into ponying up cash. A terrorist even used the organization’s “hate map” to target a pro-family group in Washington, D.C., but the SPLC has kept that group on the map for 10 years since then.
I’ve been following the SPLC for years, and I even wrote the book on why the “hate map” can’t be trusted. So when the SPLC released its updated “hate map” for 2022, I decided I’d go through the data and crunch the numbers.
The SPLC exaggerates hate in three key ways, according to The Daily Signal’s analysis. It lists “chapters” of organizations as separate “hate groups” or “antigovernment extremist groups,” no matter how small they are. It tars political and ideological opponents by branding them “hate groups” even if they don’t have anything to do with hate. Finally, the SPLC includes other organizations that barely exist at all.
Southern Poverty Law Center says "anti-Blackness" killed man who CHOKED A COP while yelling "YEAH B**!" after driving 100 mph
Leonard Cure was pulled over on the side of I-95 near the Georgia-Florida line for driving ONE HUNDRED MILES AN HOUR, putting everyone's life on that highway in danger. According to the SPLC, this equates to "anti-Blackness in policing."
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Camden County Sheriff's Office released video of the incident, which showed Cure complying with the officer until the officer told him he was under arrest. At that point, he got out of his vehicle and ignored the officer's instructions (let me remind you this is all happening on a dangerous highway shoulder).
The officer tased Cure when he argued and did not comply. Cure still resisted (because tasers are not nearly as effective as you think) and he was tased again as Cure suddenly lunged into action, swinging his arms at the officer.
Cure choked the officer, whose arms got pinned by Cure. The officer managed to retrieve his baton, still opting not to use his gun while being choked out, as you can see from this screenshot in the video I'm about to show you:
The bodycam footage shows the officer hitting Cure about half a dozen times with the baton. After that did not work, the officer drew his service weapon and fired.
Cure yells out "YEAH B**!" at the officer repeatedly, obviously enjoying squeezing the life out of him.
Or, as the SPLC would say, "justice and accountability."
The situation was investigated by Camden County Sheriff Jim Proctor, District Attorney Keith Higgins of the Brunswick Judicial Circuit, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. None of them have found any wrongdoing on the part of the officer, who is on leave while they finish their investigation.
Every thing becomes a grift, just like Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
The purpose of many foundations is to enrich their founders.
John Edwards got rich convincing juries that natural childbirth causes autism.
The Southern Poverty Law Center was born out of the civil rights movement of the 60s and has since evolved into a corrupt far-left radical hate group that pushes gender ideology and slanders normal conservative organizations like Moms for Liberty as "hate groups" in turn.
According to their own union, they're also extremely corrupt in the handling of donations they receive...
Just last year, one of their own lawyers was arrested for domestic terrorism after leading a violent attack on a police training facility in Atlanta...
The internet didn't seem to show much sympathy for the laid-off workers:

You may have heard that the Southern Poverty Law Center has targeted our organization for a hit piece. They've taken personal information about our authors and pieced together a story that is meant to "expose" our anonymous staff to their employers and the general public.
We wont' be intimidated by these efforts. While we take the actual issue of doxxing very seriously and will defend those on staff that wish to stay anonymous, what we don't take seriously is this organization that's behind the attack. They are angry, bitter, resentful hacks that feel like their ability to pummel people into worldview submission is slipping away.
Let them try to smear us. In doing so, they reveal the true villain in themselves.
