This is bullshit. Not a single Ukrainian soldier crossed into USSR territory. No military buildup, no preparations for attack, no aggression plans have ever been uncovered. In fact, the war started on Feb 20, 2014 when Yanukovich was still sitting in his office - the fact officially confirmed by the date on the Soviet medal for invasion of Crimea. Moreover, there is no valid goals for Ukraine to seek inside the USSR. They never claimed they wanted anything ftom there - no territorial claims, nothing. The USSR, on the other hand, has been banging the drums of territorial claims and empire restoration in their media for at least quarter of the century.
This war has even less "justification" than Iraq war of 2003.
Don't be like the media - if you claim something, provide the proof.

I watched it unfold. Russia repeatedly said that US dominance in Ukraine would not be accepted, nor would Ukraine be allowed to join NATO. This is a reasonable position, as the US would not tolerate Russian dominance in Mexico either.
And Ukraine is losing, badly.
Why is the US even providing weapons to Ukraine at all? Charity?
