They just act, and are surprised always by the ramifications.
I work with nothing but Liberals they make decisions to take servers off line because they think no one is using it. Because they were just told they need to set up paperwise.
Rather than checking if it would affect anyone taking a rarely used SQL server off line or if anyone is accessing those tables they just take it down. Then when you confront them that you need it, and ask why they didn't send out an email. They play the victim. God I miss when Conservative critical thinkers ruled the enterprise.

The City of San Francisco is reportedly reconsidering its boycott on socially conservatives states, after the ban on travel and contracting failed to change those states’ policies and raised the city’s contracting costs 10-20%.

Yes, the blue states cost more because of the kickbacks they get on those contracts.

This thread has been viewed 64,000 times. Nobody was saying that Democrats lack critical thinking skills, until I started this thread. Now it's a common theme in Memes and reporting.

Norway counts the cost of its new wealth tax as billionaires flee to Switzerland

“A difficult choice has been made. I’ve moved from Asker, Norway, to Lugano in Switzerland,” Norway’s biggest taxpayer, and the largest shareholder of investment firm Aker ASA, Kjell Inge Røkke wrote to the rest of the board in an open letter last September.

Mr Røkke, an industrial tycoon with an estimated net worth of Nkr 19.6bn (£1.5bn), is among 50 billionaires and millionaires to have left Norway over the past year as they were hit with higher rates of wealth tax.

A federal grand jury has charged three St. Louis residents with illegally pushing pro-Russian propaganda and misinformation about Ukraine and sowing discord across Missouri, Georgia and Florida through the African People’s Socialist Party.

The indictment alleges that African People's Socialist Party Chairman Omali Yeshitela and members Penny Joanne Hess and Jesse Nevel acted as illegal agents of the Russian government without notifying the U.S. attorney general. They each face up to 10 years in prison for that charge. They also face up to five years in prison for conspiring to have U.S. citizens act as illegal agents.

The indictment alleges Russian national Aleksandr Viktorovich Ionov founded the Anti-Globalization Movement of Russia, a Moscow-based organization run by the Russian government, to promote pro-Russian propaganda and create influence campaigns among political groups across the country, including the African People’s Socialist Party. It also alleges Ionov tried to promote the Russian invasion of Ukraine with pro-Russian talking points. It says that Ionov would appear on video calls hosted by the party in which he likened support to Ukraine to supporting Nazis and that Yeshitela made statements supporting Russia.

Omali Yeshitela:

I believe this man was covered today by Glenn Greenwald. I have what people might call "partial facial blindness", so don't be accusing me of being a racist, because I've misidentified a man. Start at 42:00 minutes in:

original link

This man's crime, is that he's anti-establishment. He opposes both parties. I'm guilty of the same crime. I disagree with his solution, but I agree with him about the problem.

BTW: I had to look up possessives for that. I believe that's grammatically correct to say "man's" in which case it would be possessive of "men". "Mans" would be plural. Fucking french, germans, and saxons, romans, and who knows what else. We have a fucked up language. Fuck all you invaders, even though I'm very minority english and have to deal with this fucked up language.

If you think people you disagree with should be silenced, you're wrong. You can see the results of this sort of suppression now. The purpose of free speech isn't only to spread good ideas, but also to demolish bad ideas.

How long should we go before we just start killing these assholes?

I don't care what anybody says, but the people who implement it an enforce it, that's another problem entirely. He's got a bullshit job title for a bullshit job. Does he have power or does he just have rhetoric?

A good way to limit absolutely unnecessary carbon emissions is for a group to cross into northern Iraq from Turkey, pick up a few SA-18s from the open air arms bazaar, then use them to take out any private jet flying a climate czar around.

Not my problem you can't read or have to resort to outright lying about my position.

Let’s start with two simple axioms:

  1. Certain sorts of the mentally ill seek power over others as they cannot control themselves. it’s a way to try to substitute regulating the world around them for self-stability by seeking to make their own internal dysregulation seem fitting or laudable; it’s environment as surrogate for self.

  2. The anxious and insecure seek out powerful patrons/ideologies to which to conform in order to feel “safe.” when you have little faith in your own identity or drives, the desire to be subsumed and validated by the will of others is a powerful opiate; again environment as surrogate for self.

The confluence of these two trends creates the alliance that is the DEI calamity: it’s an externalization of internal instability.

It also ensures its endless escalation until it eats itself an fiery singularity of absurdity because staying atop the hierarchy requires ever more intense and baroque protestations of marginalization and fealty.
