American Pagent, the most popular HS History textbook, calls Trump a "sexual predator", repeats "Didn't condemn Charlottesville" and "Russian Influence in the 2016" - all demonstrably false assertions.

LOL! I always suspected high school AP was fake news.

Educational texts are another pork barrel scam. They re-publish them at huge cost (and payoffs to educational figures) whenever a new asshole is on the throne. I remember at Berkeley, they had wonderful classic physics texts, but you had to buy and use the Professor's texts which were horrible. Also, in biology, if you didn't buy the teaching assistants' Cliff Notes summaries on the lectures, you didn't stand a chance of doing well on the tests, even if you buried yourself in the nominal text readings. A lot of the stuff in the Cliff Notes summaries were never even mentioned in lectures. Made me realize, even as a lowly student with little money, I was already a mark.

Then how can any history be believed? This is supposed to be the first instance of historical bullshit?

@ceffer my first college Biology course was just like that. Prof was old as Dino shit, went off his book published in the 70s instead of the expensive required text, and lectures went too fast for proper note taking. I got a C on the first quiz which was a wake up call. So I formed a study group of the smartest kids I could meet and we hashed it out at the library. We mostly got As and Bs, but people without a group got Ds and Fs. Taught me the importance of collaboration.

You should. Most of what's in the mainstream is pure bunk.

YUP.

Everything I was taught about the civil war was bullshit. I'm not so expert in that. Every war we've been involved with for at least 30 years began with lies, and was sustained by propaganda. WWII, which I am CLEARLY, not an expert on, was not about Hitler invading countries, it was about economic dominance and preventing Russia and Germany from working together - Russia has tons of resources, Germany has the technical know-how to exploit it. The propaganda about the Holocaust is an attack on all of Europe but in particular Germany.

History is and has always been weaponized for political gain. Nothing new here.

Example of Historical propaganda:

I own a book that was published in the USA prior to America's entry into the first World War. It has hundreds of photographs of battle scenes, troop movements, trench warfare, etc. all depicted heroically. Among all of these photographs are artist renditions of the evil Hun, illustrating numerous German soldiers with babies perched on their bayonets. The German soldiers are depicted as monsters that were obviously enjoying the slaughter. The reason that there were no photographs and only artist renditions of 'babies on bayonets' is because this never happened. As in NEVER.

Warmongers LOVE to use the inhumane treatment of babies as a means to stir up support for their evil efforts.

Recall the fake story that "Iragi soldiers were throwing babies out of incubators in Kuwait?" That story was repeated by the warmonger George H. W. Bush a number of times in order to justify his war against Iraq. His Neo-Con, war criminal son repeated the lie of "weapons of mass destruction" in order to justify attacking Iraq, in a war that was totally unjustified and killed over 500,000 Iraqi civilians!

Being taught false history harms the nation. We keep making the same errors. It's a weapon against the country to do this.

Take the history of "global warming" for example. CLEARLY it's false, but they teach false history about it, so you have these poor kids believing the nonsense who think the world is going to end, and are in a constant state of dread and fear over it. Is it a wonder why they are so nihilistic and hedonistic?

What does it matter? It's not like they're going to be alive in 10 years anyhow, right?
