He forced their hand in declaring outright that a President doesn't have immunity, in their effort to get Trump. The Left really does lack practical foresight, they can't see the forest for the trees. No matter what they legally try to do to Trump. Unless they outright kill him and start a bloody violent Civil War. History says Presidents and Leaders that were removed by rogue unconstitutional forces, and prevented to run in elections or forced from office. They always end up over coming that. A sensible Judge finally sides with the growing public sentiment that it was unconstitutional. They always comeback and get reelected as President. That's just been standard since the internet and free access to information. Oppressive regimes can't keep their lies up for long. The lies are exposed and those presidents are exonerated and win in landslides in the next election.

None of them have no cover now, all of them will be brought boot to throat by the justice system. Even Treason and penalties by death wont be off the table for that sorry lot.

I was hopping the judges would rule like they did. I hope SCOTUS agrees in any appeal. I think Trump is just establishing this now. Since the stinking sorry left likes to make up law or interpret it as they go along. CNN wont be able to say "Constructional Crisis" enough to save their sorry asses.

I mean if you think about it, Trump was asking the same judges that has ruled and sided with the DOJ on every single petty unfounded case they brought against him. Every Court in America has pretty much outright decreed that Donald J. Trump and his followers don't have any rights afforded to the American constitution and may be persecuted with impunity. Now why would Donald Trump waste all of this time and money to get a ruling he already knows is a fait accompli? It was a big brain move. Those legal minds had to know it was a double edge blade that cuts them to shreds irregardless which way the judges ruled.

Say he has immunity, and every election interfering case just evaporates before the 6 OClock news. The J6 defendants become innocent and must be released. They were going to see a lawful President at a lawful rally, which it was.
Say he doesn't have immunity, and Bush, Clinton, and the Obama empire can be investigated and wrung through the wringer for every crime they committed going all the way back to Clinton's presidency.

I'm betting the Left side of SCOTUS will say he does have immunity in the appeal, but by then the election will be most over and they will have a clearer idea if Trump will be the next President or not. If they don't see a clear path to stealing the 2024 election with a disengaged electorate willing to just sit and watch it and doubt what they are actually seeing. They will say Trump does have immunity. It will be used to wind down the unlawful investigations, and initiate every body go along to get along. Not to say they wont come after him from a different angle.

I don't think people are going to accept that elections are secure and you must not question, as the election season ramps up. We will not see or hear about Somoli taxi drivers collecting ballots from people in the hood that never voted in their lives and selling them. We're not going to see BLM members hosting seminars on how to disenfranchise Republican voters. We're not going to see Sheniqua locking voters and poll watchers out. We're not going to see vote counting centers close at 10 and open in secret at 3am. If you guys all remember. Most idiots kept saying it was OK the elections are secure they can't steal the election. And pretend all of those actions are legit election behavior.

The only tool they have this time around is putting Trump in jail. But if they are not careful they'll sign their warrants.
