First, longtime CIA watcher Mike Benz agreed with me that the 34-page Times’ article was an obvious CIA plant, but one paragraph convinced him the disclosure was actually just an effort to pressure Congress to pass the $61 billion Ukraine aid package by selling what terrific work the CIA was doing in Ukraine and how it needs funding to continue.

I disagree with Mike for four reasons.

One: the CIA could have much more easily assigned an attractive analyst with a compelling pair of visual aids to directly persuade Speaker Johnson (and anyone else in Congress) in a classified briefing without burning its network; it does that kind of thing all the time. Second, the CIA, like cockroaches, never do their scurrying out in the open. The network is useless to the CIA now its cover is blown, so there is no longer any need for CIA funds. Third, Ukrainian officials seemed deeply upset by the disclosures, rather than salivating over chances for a new plane-load of cash pallets. Fourth, though the reporters tried to squeeze the disclosures into a strappy dress, they wound up looking more like a balding, middle-aged, trans NATO general trying to pull off a tight skirt look.

Eww.

In other words, the article profoundly damaged the CIA. Presumably the voluntary disclosure caused less damage than the CIA’s enemies would have done.

Ukraine Is Fucked, kiddies.

Always has been...even when they were 'beating' the Russians last year.

The Russians outproduce the West in arms and men using them, period. They always were going to.

Russia has always relied on quantity over quality. It works for them.

Whereas, Ukey Naziland can't even pay their firefighters let alone soldiers. It is a total client satrapy w/o any sovereignty. There already is no independent Ukraine.

Did the Blob get vaxxed and boosted? Does that explain the severe neurological damage it displays now as its hologram of lies about Ukraine and Russia Russia Russia flickers out in the blinding daylight of reality. First, there was the gigantic New York Times article published last Sunday blowing open the decade-long secret shadow war by the CIA in a sprawling network of underground bunkers on and around the Russian border.

The story was a direct feed from Blob Central in Langley, VA, to Times errand boys Adam Entous and Michael Schwirtz, longtime RussiaGate hoaxers, and obviously intended to get ahead of the real news that the neo-con project to turn Ukraine into a NATO forward base against Russia has collapsed. Read closely, the Times story appears to be an effort by current CIA chief William Burns to hang-out-to-dry his predecessors John Brennan, Mike Pompeo, and Gina Haspel for the failed eight-year-long operation. Why? Because it looks like Russia is fixing to shut down the war ASAP, before its March 15 presidential election.

As it happened, Russian diplomats and Ukraine President Zelensky took turns visiting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) in Saudi Arabia this week, sparking rumors that these were peace talks with MBS playing mediator. The situation is delicate for all concerned. Ukraine itself verges on collapse with its army decimated, its ammo used up, and its coffers empty, awaiting the $60-plus-billion aid package that is stalled in Congress, meaning no salaries for Ukraine govt employees and no pensions.

It’s delicate for the US because “Joe Biden” has declared our country won’t negotiate over Ukraine, despite the fact that there is nothing else to do now, or the end of the war will be negotiated without us. And remember, not many days ago Mr. Putin told Tucker Carlson that he was ready to talk to anybody. What this will demonstrate is that America has neither the ability to continue its proxy war nor the will or sense to engage in peace talks — all due to “Joe Biden’s” abject intransigence, and not a good look for someone pretending to run for re-election.

It’s delicate for Russia because such a humiliating loss for America could provoke “JB” and his NATO allies to some reckless and foolish act, say, sending NATO members’ ground troops directly into battle or a missile strike on Russian territory, setting off nuclear war. At the very least, the situation has already prompted the US government propaganda machine to kick-start Russia Russia Russia 3.0, the threadbare narrative that has been the accelerant of Democratic Party hallucinations about Russia interfering in US elections since 2016 — when it has actually been US spooks collaborating with a motley assortment of Ukrainian stooges, plus Marc Elias’s lawfare corps, plus the Intel Blob coercing social media to work its will. The majority of the voters don’t seem receptive to a replay of this scam but the US government is at war with those voters, so anything goes in the struggle to retain power.

- Alfred E. Newman for President

Russia has world’s ‘most diverse’ nuclear arsenal – US general

Washington desperately needs to modernize its own nuclear forces, the head of the US Strategic Command has said

Russia poses a serious challenge to America’s military dominance, Air Force General Anthony Cotton, who heads the US Strategic Command, said on Thursday. Moscow already possesses a nuclear arsenal that exceeds Washington’s and is actively modernizing it, he told the US Senate’s Armed Forces Committee in a prepared statement.

Together with CHINA, RUSSIA is swiftly improving its position against the US and its allies “in multiple domains,” the general warned, adding that the pace of these changes is increasing and is now much faster than that seen “just a few years ago.”

He pointed to a recent statement from Russian President Vladimir Putin, who said in early February that the Russian strategic nuclear forces had been “almost completely modernized.” The naval component of the nation’s nuclear deterrence triad had been almost 100% upgraded, he said.

“Russia is currently in possession of the largest and most diverse nuclear arsenal of any nation,” Cotton said, specifically pointing to Moscow’s Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missiles and brand-new submarines, also capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

The Sarmat ICBM was approved for combat duty in September 2023. Addressing the Russian Federal Assembly on Thursday, Putin promised to release footage of the missiles in their silos. One of Russia’s most capable nuclear weapons, the Sarmat reportedly has an estimated range of 11,000 miles (about 18,000 kilometers), with a payload weighing around ten tons. Other weapon types mentioned by Cotton included the Borei-class and Yasen-M class submarines.

According to the US general, Moscow is also “expanding and modernizing its nuclear options” beyond the classic nuclear triad. In particular he drew senators’ attention to the Kinzhal and Tsirkon hypersonic missiles, both of which he claimed could carry nuclear payloads.

The war in Ukraine. We started it in 2014 to mess with Russia and Russia is going to finish it. Who knows what our real motives were. A resource grab? A desperate ploy to erase our national debt by creating a global fiasco? Sheer psychopathic hatred of this Putin fellow? We can’t bring ourselves to acknowledge the failure of this ill-conceived venture. Instead, our feckless allies in Europe are foolishly rattling their sabers, apparently forgetting that you don’t bring a sword to a nuclear missile fight.

Mr. Macron in France affects to offer up his army for slaughter on the blood-soaked plains of Ukraine, just as the Ukrainians offered up a half a million of their young men so that Victoria Nuland could feel good about herself.

Or maybe Victoria wanted all those Ukrainians to die just because she hates them and the Russians too.

Even Tucker Carlson calls out the retards pushing the "Nazi" bullshit claims made by Putin and his morons.

----------------

Fridman specifically asked Carlson for his opinion on Putin's justification for continuing the war in Ukraine, which in part is to achieve the "denazification" of the country. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who is Jewish, has repeatedly dismissed the Kremlin's claims that Kyiv's government is openly "pro-Nazi."

"I thought it was one of the dumbest things I'd ever heard," Carlson told Fridman. "I didn't understand what it meant."

"I hate that whole conversation because it's not real," he continued. "It's just ad hominem. It's a way of associating someone with an evil regime that doesn't exist anymore."

"I'm very anti-Nazi," he told Fridman. "I'm merely saying there isn't a Nazi movement in 2024. It's a way of calling people evil."

The azov brigades exist and it's not for outside parties to decide whether it's a reasonable request to reign in nazis or not, this is done during diplomatic talks seeking a peaceful resolution. It may be a mere tactic by Putin to justify his efforts or it may be a sincere concern.

HUNH. Russia (and just about everybody really) voted in the affirmative (or abstained) and the United States and Ukraine voted against it. I wonder why? Well Canada too, and Palau. Maybe I should look up Palau...

And Canada had that embarrassing incident where they praised a Nazi that fought against the Soviets in WWII.

The entire point of Russia is to get a land bridge to Crimea/Black Sea and resources. Yet they're losing vessels quite a bit for a LAND war. Again, Ukraine will lose, but Russia looks like the dip shit internationally. You don't lose your Black Sea Navy in a land war. They're losing piles of military equipment in a war against Ukraine. And sure it's a proxy war, but they decided to invade. I don't understand why you feel like they aren't eating shit in this situation??

Sure there were Western influences in Ukraine. It wasn't in NATO, and was highly unlikely to be. Finland was added to NATO since this shit started. That's a win? And by default once Putin gets what he wants he's CLOSER to NATO nations, again one with the longest land borders recently being added. This isn't a Russia/Ukraine war at all. Russia is losing it. Ukrainians are just dying more.

I don't care about Ukraine either way. No one war gaming this would think Ukraine would drag this out 2+ years. Russia is a paper tiger. They moved NATO closer to their boarder in a big way. The people of Finland are not idiots. They felt the threat was there enough to join NATO. They know their borders better than any US citizen. This is going massively wrong for Russia. That's not opinion. It's fact. March towards the nations with the combined military power that could wipe out your military in days without nukes.

This has been an unmitigated disaster for Russia from any angle you look at it. We fought decade long "wars" across a planet and Russia is still dicking around for 2+ years. #notwinning. We lost less in Iraq and Afghanistan during the same time versus Chicago. So it really wasn't war, more of an occupation and unfortunately some of our troops died. Not remotely the same that's happening in Ukraine and Russia.

No it isn't. They did not invade Ukraine for that reason at all. They already had Crimea and still do.

Soooo what? They can build new ones. Esp after the war.

Ukraine can not 'build' a new Donbas. Or a new Crimea. Or new 300,000 or so new humans within months to fill their military soldier losses.

Finally AGAIN. This isn't about Russia. Russia is doing just fine compared to what this is about: Ukraine.

No one, and I mean no one has "won" a war since WWII. Even then it wasn't a win, just stopping the genocide of a certain religious sect.

that is why Ukranian troops are surrendering and Victoria Nuland is resigning.

The problem is the definition of war. This is going to go on for a long time. Isreal and Gaza have been at war for decades. It just ramped up recently. This is the type of conflict. Live somewhat peacefully, assault and pull back. It has already been that way in this part of Ukraine for almost a decade now. It only became news because Russia announced "military operations" in Ukraine.

Our media labeled it a war 2 years ago. So that's what everyone thinks. It has been going on far longer. And will go on far longer moving forward. It's not about Ukraine winning. It's about how long can the west use them as a proxy. Likely another 10 years. They were fighting when Obama and then Trump was in office in the region. This isn't a new conflict by any mean. And Rich, I don't care who started it. Russia was fighting with Ukraine before 2014. This territory has been a problem for a century. That will continue. Hence why we should decouple from the entire hemisphere. Which I think you agree with.

Jesus Christ, does anyone fucking read? Every Ukrainian will be dead. In the process many Russians will lose their lives. Their demographics were already shit. They're worse now. That's the point of this. And will be over probably the next 5-8 years as this continues to drag on. This isn't going away.

The goal is to wipe out 1-2 generations of Russians and no one gives a fuck about the Ukrainians. We just send them used equipment. MIC fires up the manufacturing and is building new fresh stuff for the US. That's all this is. I swear no one on this site understands what the strategy is. NATO and the US know this is a war of attrition. The goal is to kill as many Russians as they can with their left over war machines. So in the future Russia cannot fight an all out war with NATO countries.

Even if Russia gains all of Ukraine it will be seen as a loss. This isn't about land. This is about decimating a populations demographics. It's working so far. Whether one wants to agree with that synopsis or not, that's reality.
