This is why kids can't read an analog clock or drive stick shift.
To be fair, a real old-timer could say "This is why you folks cannot use a slide rule or drive a car with a manual spark."
Hmmm I wonder if the automated electric busses, that would get stuck in traffic will face any scrutiny?
Or how about Google's self driving car, is that under investigation as well? Tesla has way more drivers and is prone to more user errors than other examples of self driving cars. But one thing for sure, all of those companies were answering the call of the Establishment to create automated cars, so they could become a subscription service rather than property for the consumer. They were building blocks for their future plans of 15 minute cities.
Otherwise, had our safety regulation and standards not been laxed to make it so. No self driving car would have ever been approved to be on the road. Even if they created a flawless machine that never errored. The risk of how it would respond to human drivers that lost control and in an accident.
Elon Musk is being persecuted now, by the very same people that reckoned him a Tech God until he stated his opinions on the Woke nonsense.

They'll use the judgement of this lawsuit to press federal charges. Because if the Feds were after him now, the question of why or how was it even possible would go squarely on their shoulders for allowing it. A true dereliction of their responsibilities. Just because some asshole claimed he built self driving cars, it was up to the DOT to say "Prove IT!" Instead Obama was running around the country calling it one of his achievements.
