And it's overwhelmingly Democrat Women.

“The SAVE Act is yet another effort by House Republicans to undermine Americans’ confidence in our elections and promote Donald Trump’s Big Lie. Despite knowing the former president lost the 2020 presidential election in a free and fair election, Republicans are forcing the House to undergo this exercise on behalf of Trump and to satisfy those who perpetrated the violence of January 6. The SAVE Act is legislation designed to suppress the votes of millions of Americans, including tens of thousands in every single congressional district.

-Judy Chu (CA-28)

It's a typical RINO worded cluster fuck bill, meant to die on the Toilet after shooting the TV screen while hopped up on pain killers.

It's a trash bill meant to cause confusion and pushback from even the most sensible people. How in the fuck you gonna verify a potential voter is a US citizen.
I can see even Conservatives worrying about this bill. It could be construed as the only way to vote is to have a passport, even some folks don't have a physical copy of their birth certificate. 18 year olds might have a parent that lost their BC, or refuse to give it to them because of their political leanings might not align with theirs. So here you are trying to register to vote, with the deadline to do so approaching just days or weeks away, and you can't find your BC, you mail away for one then it arrives after the registration deadline. It's a shit bill meant to die period.

If they were serious, they would pass a bill that holds the Federal Board of Elections accountable for voters that vote in Federal elections. They know who is a citizen and who is not. States can control their own elections but at the end of the day, those registrants have their info forwarded to the Federal Board of Elections and they determine if the voter would be allowed to vote in Federal elections. Which noncitizens should not be allowed to do in any state.

The bill should be giving the FBOE more powers to enforce who can vote or not not some poorly worded legislation that would treat John Smith across the street the same as Jose Rodriguez from across the boarder the same.

There would be no ambiguity and anyone voting against it would be exposed as a traitor and a cheat. As it is now, anyone riling against this bill has ample valid reasons to do so, without trying to defend illegal's ability to vote.

They make these many page bills and give fanfare to the name without ever elaborating in the least bit what the bill does, by how it does it.
So it's just rife for ridicule and misinformation from the media and rightly so. Who's even read the fucking thing, as far as I would expect, there's a provision in it that makes it illegal to challenge election results and easier for them to cheat. That is Congress' way of writing legislation, the bills are never what are presented as by the title.

It gives everyone a chance to make an complete ass out of themselves. They deserve it.

The reason this bill is required is states like California.
I know because I renewed my license there; you are automatically registered to vote.
Recall that illegals can get a license in California.
The process involves using a computer terminal with some questions; one question is "are you qualified to vote?"
If you check the box "yes", you're now a registered voter in California.
This is BULLSHIT, and enables voter fraud on a mass scale.
Soon you cannot fly on an airplane without the proper ID; why should you not need proper ID to vote? Of course you should.
I dislike foreigners a little more every day; I hate liberals and democrats much more every day.

The Democrats don't want Illegals voting.

They want to go to Caritas, or the Lutheran Immigrant Aid Society, and get the addresses and names on their list of recent rapefugees, and vote FOR the illegals by mail.

Dems do it too. Only Fox station I get at the Airbnb I’m at is something called fox live which is like …..I dunno…it’s boring and seems like real news but every story is a 15-20 minute snore fest. And I’m a wonk nerd.

Anyway one segment covered that Dem Senators grandstanding with some stupid up and down vote on if Senators support abortion rights. Stupidest fucking nonsense ever with each Dem bitch droning on about how many women are dying due to lack of access to abortion with no quantification whatsoever. The remote was about two feet out of my reach so I watched about five minutes before becoming revolted enough to heft myself the two feet necessary to reach the remote.

Used to get voting ballots before getting citizenship. I never filled any documents to get them, of course I never voted as they were illegal. I guess not just CA, the system is broken at many other places. Hopefully this bill would fix some cases!

I am not surprised, they stop by and pulling people for primaries even though they know some of them are republican registered on paper. They claim it’s ok to vote for democrats if anyone say yes/no verbally, to a question that I can’t remember now from the folks who go there and voted by intimidation. There are lot of gray areas around this system.
