You almost feel sorry for the protestors. Most of them are summer children, a generation that grew up enjoying the gentle policing techniques of Black Lives Matter, and the friendly arrest rules like, so long as you wear your mask, you’ll be released without bail. Anyway, they are about to learn that Winter is Coming. The New York Times ran an ominous story yesterday headlined, “Protesters Are Converging on Chicago. City Leaders Say They’re Prepared.” ...
So Democrats aren’t taking any chances. First, to protect themselves from their own voters, they’ve erected a wildly expensive ‘security zone’, multiple layers of fencing strategically deployed to frustrate any unapproved group activity and preclude parading. Don’t be silly, the security fencing is NOT a border wall, because reasons. Border walls don’t work, dummies.
Second, to avoid repeating the awful optics of 1968’s Convention, Democrats have scraped all the various groups together into a single, more managable blob, a cranky coalition of over two hundred different protest groups. They will all march —together! united! we cannot be divided!— in a single, giant parade of complaints, but joyfully, and they will share a single deluxe, high-profile stage with a killer sound system and all the amenities— all safely outside the Democrats’ carefully fenced security perimeter.
As you can easily imagine, the unified protest coalition represents a wide range of policy concerns, including abortion ‘rights,’ labor issues, LGBTQIA++, climate change, transgender madness, and of course, Gaza. The disparate collection of interests seems unlikely only to outsiders. In reality, the mix-and-match members often interchange with each other, as various kinds of unnatural relationships come and go.
Still, presumably, they’ll split the Palestinian protestors apart from the parading drag queens into different sections. As the song goes, you gotta keep ‘em separated.
Looking a little insurrection-ish at Chicago’s United Center all of a sudden as Illinois Governor Jabba the Pritzker orders a wall built around the perimeter to protect the Democratic Party from its very own basket of deplorables — the pro-Hamas, Antifa / BLM nose-ring-for-lunch bunch — with the state’s National Guard “on standby.” The New York Post and other news sources report 100,000 anti-Israel protesters migrating there to liven-up a convention that also has the potential to go off-script inside the arena — since the script was written by a handful of party mandarins, with the gamed consent of the convened delegates, who might be a little ticked off about the deal.
What the party needs most this week is a plausible aura that it is firmly in control of events, having pulled off coup-after-coup on its own rank-and-file. Most recently, Pelosi & friends passed the black spot to “Joe Biden.” (The easy way or the hard way.) He took the hint and dropped out. But then, how exactly did Veep Kamala get plugged into his slot? Five minutes prior, they were, like, yccchhhh, her? And then, two seconds later, somebody arranged a pre-convention Zoom call “virtual vote” of the delegates — like a Las Vegas David Copperfield magic trick — followed by “certification!” (By whom? Answer: the certifiers.) Badda bing, badda bang! Their “democracy” got rolled.
So, you can imagine that things might fly out of control in exact proportion to the Mandarins’ desperate need to seem legitimately in control — when they are just a clique of scared-stiff tyrants running scams on their own people — and the result looks like the Democrats’ certified metamorphosis into the Party of Chaos.
Why scared-stiff? Because of a long list of serious crimes against the American people over the past decade, various treasons committed under color-of-law, for which they fear prosecution and punishment if the wrong person gets elected. ...
Daley and his police were a rough bunch, and treated the hippie mobs in Grant Park and down on Michigan Avenue quite harshly, with tear gas and billy-clubs. The National Guard was poised visibly on the roof of the Art Institute with rifles trained down at the hippies below. Things got pretty yeasty. It’s a wonder nobody got killed. The party went ahead and nominated Humphrey with ruthless efficiency. In the end, the 1968 convention riots were an act of futility. The ’68 convention was the public debut of the organism that we call the blob today — the Deep State in action. And it was the twinkling-out of hippie idealism. The Vietnam War ran another seven years until it ended ignominiously under Gerald Ford, followed by disco, inflation, and the offshoring of US industry.
This time around, the news media has been fully absorbed into the blob, doing all its bidding, like the blob’s personal Chat GPT, while the blob itself has grown to be a larger and more potent governing entity than the flimsy scaffold of elected officials who front for it. But the Democratic Party has faltered badly in its years’ long efforts to cover for the blob, mainly by lying to the American people about everything. Running “Joe Biden” in 2020 was a dishonest act of desperation that only worked with a rigged election and then prosecuting anyone who attempted to complain. The party knew that “JB” was a mental phantom four years ago, and they had the effrontery to try running him again in ’24, until ol’ “Joe” made it impossible with his demented public behavior.
They also know that Kamala Harris is an empty vessel with a drinking problem, but they’ve desperately pulled out all the stops to make her appear legitimate. Her performance the past three weeks has not exactly been reassuring. Her running mate, Governor Walz, comes off straight-up insane. Why would they now not attempt to dump them with the same bad faith they installed them?
Gawd knows what mayhem might rock the streets outside the United Center. Recent years of degenerate USA life have produced a youth cohort with a staggering rate of mental illness. You’ve already seen plenty of how dark Antifa can get with its murderous trans cadres itching for action. But you’ve also got to wonder how the formal speeches by the party nabobs will go over? Might there be any booing of the elite? How will the crowd greet Mrs. Pelosi, the party’s consiglieri who arranged things as they are now? What on earth can Hillary Clinton say about the nominee she openly loathes? Will Bill Clinton, painted as a sexual predator by the Me-Too caucus, get a love-bath or a cold-shoulder? How false will the party’s unity seem? Will surprise motions arise from the floor to change-up the pre-scripted program? There are many more ways for things to go wrong this week than the simple dynamics that were in-play fifty-six years ago in Chicago.

You may find the event to be boringly peaceful. The leaders of the various protest groups have already been threatened not to make a scene. The media will not report any small skirmishes that may appear, nor if anyone like Pelosi or Clinton gets booed or heckled.
These guys already showed up at the Lahaina DEW Massacre to guard the perimeters

Maybe the well informed are afraid to attend. I don't think I would go to that thing even if I were a dazed and confused KommieKunt.
They have a high batshit crazy success rate, anyway.

Patrick ^^^^ here is a perfect example of IRREVERSIBLE brain damage right there. No 'saving' these ppl. We can only isolate them. I vote to put then in camps in Alaska. Work them on logging or mining.
If you’ve managed to avoid all the gushing media reports about last night’s buzzword-loaded but calorically empty speeches at the DNC in Chicago, you missed nothing. A series of far-left speakers pandered to the party’s partisan activists, including the vegetative Big Guy, there to get his 10%. The speakers studiously avoided every single issue regular people care about: the economy, the border, Ukraine, Iran, Israel, and barely even mentioned Gaza. Maskless, they repeatedly retconned the pandemic, bizarrely claiming to have fought lockdowns and mandates. ...
In contrast to most other corporate media reports, Politico observed we’ve been here before. Kamala’s “2020 presidential primary run similarly started on a high note,” the article admitted, “before her campaign devolved into a slog.”
Politico reminded readers of Kamala’s 2020 problems, like her see-sawing message, a “lack of crisp deliveries” of her policy positions, and her “uneven performances on the stump.”
Inside the Convention, Kamala Harris was advertised as the next best idea the Democrats ever had. They got the idea to coup the party’s elected nominee after a night of scheming and hard drinking with some Ukrainian oligarchs, fresh off the Nordstream bombing. (Around 2am, the conspirators had first voted to replace Biden with an animatronic donkey, but some more votes unexpectedly came in while Nancy was in the bathroom, so Kamala won by a nose.)
The real race starts in three days, as soon as the Convention ends. Politico pointed out that Kamala still must bridge the Israel-Palestine divide (protestors outside the Democratic border wall called her “Killer Kamala”). She must face reporters, currently relegated to a tent outside the Convention hall, who are still waiting to ask her some questions. And her recently unveiled economic plan landed flatter than a French crepe.
A few other cracks appeared in the Democrats’ color revolution. For instance, the AP ran a story yesterday headlined, “Democrats approve a platform that mentions Biden's 'second term' despite his making way for Harris.” Last night, Democrat delegates unanimously approved the 2024 party platform. The problem was, nobody edited it since early July, before they yeeted Joe. So the official 2024 Democrat Party Platform describes Joe Biden, not Kamala Harris, as the nominee.
In fact, the 92-page document mentions Biden nearly 300 times, compared to only a couple dozen references to Harris. Walz’s name is entirely missing.
It’s almost like the platform doesn’t matter, and it was all just for show. Or maybe they’re leaving room for a last-minute replacement.
Does this seem like merely a minor oversight, a forgotten formality? Or is it more serious evidence of a lack of attention to detail, Democrats moving too fast, and a leadership vacuum? What else might they be forgetting?

Of course, it's two whole days before that and there is already crap going on before hand (see comments).
