It's changed. It's now required to open an account, even a free one. I screenshotted the relevant section. Note that it says required

if this is true they will probably lose a lot of customers. I am still hesitating even though there are lots of interesting people on Twitter, but I am not giving out any info more than is already obtained by hackers ! and by companies (probably ATT too) who sell our info

Do they block VPN or something? There are so many email services out there. Just create another email. I've never liked the format of Twitter/X so I never messed with it. I do have an account but I don't even try logging in. Been a decade.

Some countries require it and X can't do much.
