WTH is going on with Jack Tapper?

He was a total propaganda shill for the Dems for years. But the last 6 months or so he actually has been (gasp!l) balanced (for him). Who's gonna be next? Maddow?

I think his change in attitude has to do with the ownership transition that happened in 2022.
From Vox:
CNN is in flux. It has a new owner, and a new boss, who promises to remake the news channel and has told employees to be prepared for “a time of change.”
Most of those changes have yet to manifest. But one of the first ones — canceling its long-running Reliable Sources show and pushing out anchor Brian Stelter — has already unsettled some CNN employees and viewers.
But the bigger question floating over one of the world’s largest and most important news organizations is why it’s changing. Is it because the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, its new owner, wants an overhaul? Or is it at the behest of a conservative billionaire investor in the company who sits on its board?
That billionaire is John Malone, a legend in the cable TV business and one who has deep and longstanding ties with David Zaslav, the CEO of WBD. People close to both men insist that Zaslav is remaking CNN because he wants to for both business and editorial reasons, and not because Malone has told him to.
But complicating that narrative is the fact that Malone has repeatedly wished, in public, for CNN to remake itself. And his prescription happens to sync with the new CNN agenda: a plan to steer the channel away from what Malone and others call a liberal bias they say muddles opinion and news. And to shift it toward a supposedly centrist, just-the-facts bent.

He has occasional moments of actual journalistic clarity.

I think it is because the cable feed tariffs for cable news are going the way of the Dodo and he's positioning his career ass for a post-cable news era.

But peeps say I am fucking cynical as hell.

As it happens, Ms. Harris’s poll numbers have begun to sink the past week, as the tactic of hiding the candidate from the press has backfired. As of August 29, Nate Silver has her chance of winning down at 42.7 to Mr. Trump’s 56.7. Voters have begun to notice that the candidate represents nothing except whatever happened the past four years in Biden-Land — which is to say, open borders, war for the sake of arms profiteers, flagrant censorship, inflation, cratering business activity, and overt DOJ political persecutions. Martin Armstrong, for instance, has estimated Kamala Harris’s true polling number in the ten percent range. Yikes.

I don’t know what radio show it was but listening tonight to 870 AM in Los Angeles around 7pm and they were saying that Harris is already giving up on Michigan and focusing on Pennsylvania because she has no chance to win without Pennsylvania.

LOL! Shades of GITMO? Interesting to see which rats want the premium escape planks. Jon Stewart is another one. They are weighing losing their jobs vs. losing their necks, or some combination of appeasement politics.

What's the matter. Don't they trust Satan any more?

The ONLY thing the Dems want with their fake polls and fake MSM is to convince the broader public there was some type of close contest to substantiate the outcomes of the pending election frauds in favor of KamalaToe or whoever their FOTM installation happens to be.

If so, I suspect that Kamala was told to do whatever it takes to make the upcoming Pennsylvania cheat believable. Maybe campaign bigly in those two towns that already said it will not have the votes tallies until days after the voting stops.

The best part is the Low IQ Commiecrats in their quest to win at all cost. Left RFK Jr on the ballots in the biggest contested states.
Now those not wanting to vote for Trump or Kamala will have someone else to vote for. In a fair world Kamala will lose. But if RFK Jr. is not actively running, then those Blue State Dems most likely plan on converting RFK votes to Kamala in the Voting machines. And why in the hell not? It is illegal to question the outcome of the official Commie Narrative on what the machine said the results are?

Real Clear Politics and Fox news is planning a repeat of 2020 where THEY decide the outcome to match the rigged machines.
RCP has Kamala up in most every poll. Of course those polls, to date, has never been heard of. I guess Nate Silver let them down.

Thought so, too. But I realized RCP does not poll themselves instead they just seem to take averages from all pollsters, incl. the crazy oversampled ones. They shouldn't be doing that, but it's not their polls. Still complicit to publish such crazy numbers

Trump will lose or made to lose.
Trump is much weaker than 2020 with no wave.

I can bet 100% it will be first black female president next year. Trump has too much baggage and Kamala has all teh stablishment of both Republican/Democrat behind her.
Trump needs a revolutionary public support which is totally missing as people are scared to support untrustworthy Trump after his capitulation and disregard for supporters last cycle.

Have you placed an actual bet? Looks like a good payout if you think Kamala will win against those odds.

Yeah Patrick, Real Clear Politics (RCP) has Trump at 51%.

RCP is the most comprehensive website for election polling.

I'll keep repeating it. Trump wins MN, WI, MI and PA. It's over. Republicans have gotten Waltz to look like a crazy person so his own constituents in MN are realizing he's a bit bat shit crazy. Harris is a few days away from losing the Muslim vote in MI and MN when the Israel topic comes up. Muslims are weird, but I think because they're male dominant they'll go with Trump even though he's pro Israel.

Trump wins on abortion. Let the states figure it out. He didn't ban it himself, the SCOTUS made a decision. Now the states can fight their own battles. Not sure why the federal government was ever involved. We need to focus on local government. Federal should be for protection is the way I see it. The entitlement programs are touchy. I do think SS needs to be paid for those that put in. If they ended it though I wouldn't be mad. $10,453 on my wife this year and same on the employer side. I'd rather be able to invest that myself.

I'm playing games this year, so I won't contribute. I'll still pull in about $25k working 4-8 hours a week and taking care of the kids. Better than after tax money paying a nanny or someone to help. Wife should break $400k this year. I'm fucking spoiled.

Nope, Trump is correct on abortion being a state issue. Politically though, that mass of pro-abortion women want a national right to unlimited abortion and consider "leaving it to the states" the same as an abortion ban.

https://slaynews.com/news/democrat-gov-gretchen-whitmer-polls-showing-harris-leading-trump-michigan-not-true/

Michigan’s Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer has firmly rejected polls showing Vice President Kamala Harris leading the presidential race in the Great Lakes State.

According to Gov. Whitmer, polls showing Harris, the Democrat presidential nominee, leading President Donald Trump are “just not true.”

Whitmer made the remarks at the Texas Tribune Festival on Thursday.

“It makes me nervous to see any poll that says there’s a five-point lead for Kamala Harris in Michigan now,” Whitmer said.

“It’s just not true,” she added.

“It’s gonna be a very close race.

“I believe we can win it,” Whitmer argued.

“And I believe we will, but it’s gonna be very close.”

Whitmer was referring to a CNN poll released this week that showed Harris having a five-point advantage over Trump.

I sure hope it's not even close.
