Who here has chased the mosquito truck down the street? The original cloud chasers.

Who still has a huge 3 piece entertainment credenza in their Living room?

When was the last time anyone saw creaseo treated wood? It used to be on every wood that was exposed to the elements and the wood would last for many decades. Now uncoated pressure treated wood will be ruined in a few seasons if not painted or covered.

Reminds me of another one which could count as an age test:

"The WOPR has already fought World War III as a game time and time again. It estimates Soviet responses to our responses to their responses and so on. It estimates damage, counts the dead, and it looks for ways to improve the score."

59   stereotomy   2024 Sep 18, 5:18pm

Every ex-military laughs when I mention the "WOPR."

I didn't recognize the "Blair" actress because of too much radical plastic surgery, but the "Jo" actress was more restrained in her surgery dalliances, so that I could connect the dots. It's funny, but as they get older, it's the fake smile that takes you back. Something about old dogs . . . .

The vastly more reliable manual crank windows.

Easier to precisely crack the window. I still catch myself searching for the crank sometimes.

He was briefly in the remake also.

Not sure which is funnier, the email by payphone, or the black executive in a pin stripe suit smoking a pipe.

It’s the pipe, definitely the pipe!

Dodgeball is alive and well where I live. Sad in the areas where they don't play. It's not bullying. It's getting hand eye coordination. The movie with Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller was spot on. "If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball."

You got to be able to react and move in real life. Dodgeball teaches you that. Also awareness and line of sight. You got 3 people with a ball, can your eyes track them all? Now get on the road with a car and have this new thing called a distracting cell phone.

Dodge ball is education probably at it's finest if you really think about it. Teaches awareness. You're dead if you're not aware or smacked in the face.

Early dodgeball I see. Before the red ball came along they used cantaloupes.

Alright, I've now gotten the info needed to why you're so fucked up ;) But I really do hope this is a sick joke. Funny. If real though consult help.

Of course it is a joke. I was making fun of the picture that looks like the teacher is holding a cantaloupe and DATF added his quip. Are you here looking for sanity in posts?

In the spirit of Halloween:

Of the posts you read in Patnet
Oh, the wonders you will find
The only thing you have to lose
Is a little of your mind

Maybe you can put that to music.
77   stereotomy   2024 Sep 23, 10:28am

That's a great idea - put up a space where the various musicians of PatNet can upload tracks. Someone can download them to do a mix/cull of the best ones, and upload the result. Reaper or Anvil are cheap/no cost DAWs.
78   stereotomy   2024 Sep 23, 10:29am

I guess I'm inspired by the "They're eating the dogs" tune.

Patnet already allows mp3 uploads, so that would just be another thread, or even among threads.

I have actual albums on iTunes. I'd dox myself immediately. So not happening. I'm 5 figures deep comment wise and there would be a lot of collateral damage if there was an ass hole that found me. I'm already on thin ice posting what I post. I'd love to share my music but I can't. Sucks. Good albums for high schoolers and young 20 somethings.

Still think we have a gem that could be rebooted and sell. I'll be out in MT in March. This is an in person proposition. We'll see. Might be a reboot.
