I remember my old set from the 60s. Someone intentionally broke up the volumes so it said something interesting on the spine. My favorite:





I remember a Britannica volume "Chicago to Death".

The Chicago article started with (to the best of my memory) "While many people grow up suspecting that government is corrupt, children in Chicago grow up knowing it to be a fact."

When was the last time anyone saw creaseo treated wood? It used to be on every wood that was exposed to the elements and the wood would last for many decades. Now uncoated pressure treated wood will be ruined in a few seasons if not painted or covered.

I didn't recognize the "Blair" actress because of too much radical plastic surgery, but the "Jo" actress was more restrained in her surgery dalliances, so that I could connect the dots. It's funny, but as they get older, it's the fake smile that takes you back. Something about old dogs . . . .
