Senator Ted Cruz
@SenTedCruz
22h
We must ensure that a weaponized DOJ does not target concerned parents as “domestic terrorists.”
However, Democrats just blocked my motion to prevent the Biden DOJ & FBI from using their resources to inappropriately target parents.
Republican Sen. Ted Cruz wowed the crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference in his home state of Texas on Friday.
He addressed everything from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s trip to Taiwan to the future of the Republican Party, often in hilarious fashion.
Ridiculing the toxic wokeness that has permeated American universities, Cruz said, “I talked recently with a college kid at one of these schools who said at each class before any student speaks, they’re required to introduce themselves, say their name and say, ‘My pronouns are…’ Well, my name is Ted Cruz and my pronouns are kiss my ass!”
The crowd roared.
Sure, Ted is a blowhard, but he's on the right side, and pretty entertaining. I don't mind him.
Ted is often the sharpest guy in the room.
Not the coolest but the sharpest.
Ted Cruz Introduces Constitutional Amendment to Impose Term Limits on Congress
The amendment, which Cruz introduced alongside Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC), would limit U.S. Senators to two six-year terms.
Members of the U.S. House of Representatives would be limited to three two-year terms after the date of its enactment.
The bill would be constructed as a constitutional amendment.
Ted Cruz said: “Term limits are critical to fixing what’s wrong with Washington, D.C.
“The Founding Fathers envisioned a government of citizen legislators who would serve for a few years and return home, not a government run by a small group of special interests and lifelong, permanently entrenched politicians who prey upon the brokenness of Washington to govern in a manner that is totally unaccountable to the American people.
Republican Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has dropped the hammer on Dr. Anthony Fauci by calling for him to be prosecuted and imprisoned for lying to Congress.
Cruz was responding as mounting evidence suggests that Fauci covered up reports that Covid leaked from a Chinese lab.
Cruz said at CPAC this week:
“There has been no person who has done more to destroy trust in the scientific and medical community than Dr. Anthony Fauci, who told millions of Americans lies willingly, knowingly, glibly, and supremely arrogantly.
“In any sane system, he would be prosecuted for lying under oath, and he would go to jail for lying under oath to Congress.
“We have a majority in the House, and I am confident that we’re going to use that majority and use it to hold Dr. Fauci and the others who lied accountable.”
Ted Cruz: Kamala Harris Is Coordinating with Mexico to Flood America with Illegal Aliens
Republican Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has accused Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris of secretly coordinating with Mexico on a plot to flood America with millions of illegal aliens.
Cruz says Harris is working with Mexico’s liberal president to encourage the United States to shift further Left on the political scale.
“Kamala Harris wants more illegal immigrants in America,” Cruz said in his podcast “Verdict.”
“Just about every single congressional Democrat in the Senate and the House, they want more illegal immigrants in America.
“They are actively encouraging, facilitating, and accelerating the invasion at our southern border.”
“So now the government of Mexico is actively aiding and assisting the human traffickers,” he continued.
“They will provide bus rides throughout Mexico, along with armed escorts from police and soldiers to bring illegal immigrants to the border to invade this country.
“And they’re doing this because Kamala Harris wants them to do this.”
Ted Cruz Calls on Republican Governors to Send All Illegal Aliens to Denver Mayor’s Home
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has called on Republican governors across the country to begin rounding up illegal aliens and transport them to the home of Denver’s far-left Democrat Mayor Mike Johnston.
The call comes after Johnston vowed to protect illegals from being deported after President Donald Trump is sworn in.
In an interview with a local publication, Johnston said he would deploy the Denver Police Department to protect illegal aliens. ...
Cruz responded to the remarks during the most recent episode of his “Verdict” podcast with co-host Ben Ferguson.
The senator argues that it’s a political stunt, noting that Johnston wants to be arrested because it will boost his public profile.
Cruz began: “So, the mayor of Denver has said, ‘We want illegal immigrants in our city. We will fight to keep illegal immigrants in our city. I don’t care that the voters don’t want it. I don’t care what Federal law says. I don’t care about the women being murdered, the women being raped, the children being assaulted.’”
“I’m going to call right now for Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, for Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, and any other red-state governor, to start sending buses to Denver, Colorado,” Cruz said.
“I’m going to urge the state government of Texas to send every one of the illegals who comes into the state to Denver, Colorado, drop them off in front of the mayor’s residence.”
“He wants them there,” Cruz added.
“He’s willing to go to jail to fight for them to be there, fine,” he continued.
“We will send you the Venezuelan gang members to your city.
“And let’s see, you know, I’m going to predict right now the residents of Denver aren’t going to like this.”
“About 42,000 migrants have arrived in the Denver metro area since December 2022, about 1,800 of which have now been authorized to work as a result of city-led efforts,” Common Sense Institute Colorado reported in May 2024.
“The Common Sense Institute estimates city, education, and healthcare organizations have spent an estimated $216 million to $340 million on the response to feed, clothe, shelter, and provide educational and healthcare services. …
“The uncompensated care to migrants in Denver area hospitals is estimated to cost $123 million to providers for care received at emergency departments. …
“To date, the City of Denver has spent an estimated $70 million in migrant response goods and services.”
Cruz says Daniel Penny should sue Manhattan DA
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said Daniel Penny should sue Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for “malicious prosecution,” after the Marine veteran was found not guilty of homicide Monday in the New York City subway trial.
“Alvin Bragg is an absolute catastrophe. First, he indicted Donald Trump in a partisan case, and then he indicted Daniel Penny for saving the lives of other subway passengers from a deranged lunatic threatening to kill everyone,” Cruz said in a statement to The Hill, referencing Trump being found guilty on all 34 counts in the hush money case that was prosecuted by Bragg earlier this year.
“Penny should sue Bragg for malicious prosecution and hold this rogue Soros prosecutor accountable,” the Texas Republican added.
