In a nutshell, here's the difference between Christianity and Islam.

Christianity was founded by Paul of Tarsus. Yes, this is a man verified to exist by all historians and archaeologists. His message happened during some collapse/channeling experience on the road to Damascus where he had a vision of Jesus and from then on, he spread Christianity, starting in Anatolia and then, across the rest of the Roman Empire.
