The California Coastal Commission finally got the beach accesses it wanted. There was no reason for these places to burn, pure DEW.

Question: how does a guy on a motorcycle ride around in the middle of this stuff and himself not get incinerated? This is not a strict fire process.

i looked on redfin, it’s all mansions 10M plus each. they will be ok.

Appreciation. Could have bought it for $600k 30-40 years ago. Doesn't mean they have the money to rebuild if older. They'll just move and sell the land. It's going to take years to rebuild each house.

Labor will travel in, but that's another issue. There is none. This is a bigger deal than people think. Then the insurance issues. CA is gonna lose more population because of this. Especially those with money.

As much as I hate IL government, it has actually gotten better the last 5 years after the exodus. Long term this is probably a good thing for CA. Sometimes you have to figuratively or literally burn it to the ground to make change. There's always been a water problem. When millionaires and billionaires lose their homes, it matters.

I'm gonna show my nativity, but what has he directed? Legit never heard of the guy. Not trying to derail, I'm not a big film buff.

Bizarre connection, or non sequitur?

$83 million home burned down. But Tom Hanks' place next door unscathed:

The houses are burned, but not the trees? Multi millionaires without wildfire suppression? I'll be dropping $6k on a backup generator. 7-8 figure homes don't have fire suppression on the exterior? Seems like Hanks did.

Protect your home and family. A 48 hour power outage and you're out $1-3k in food. At least in my house. If I was in a fire zone I'd have exterior protection. We get tornados, but have basements. Most our shit is in the basement. Hence why we'll have two sump pumps in case of an extreme rain or failure.

It's totally possible that one house burns down to the ground and one next to it is fine. All you need is a pump system installed in your pool to efficiently distribute its water onto the structure during a nearby fire so it doesn't catch fire. Similar to using pumps near the ocean which can divert saltwater in emergencies. Many probably weren't unprepared like their inept government

Means, motives and opportunities are still kind of opaque in this ongoing demolition, except that it is clearly an act of war whether domestic or through some BIS IPO investor pool, but it does have a flavor of Karma. I wonder if they are crowding into the Satanic alters and churches asking what they can sacrifice to end the destruction of their aeries.

One conspiracy theorist says many celebrities were informed that their places would be burned (how many own them outright, anyway) and that they had weeks to over a month to clear their possessions in exchange for doing crisis actor gigs (Jennifer Garner). Of course, many more will now be selling.

You notice nothing behind many of these homes or the hills are even scorched or blackened. They were taken out with the DEWs. Why were some spared? Just like Lahaina.
