The big difference is that the crusaders were failing as Christians when they did that. Jesus would not have invaded or slaughtered anyone.

Muslims are following Mohammed’s example when they engage in jihad. Mohammed not only would have, but actively did invade other areas, and engage in mass executions (for example, the 500 or 800 Jews of the Banu Qurayza - all the men were tied up and beheaded, and all the women and children sold into slavery).

I think this would fall under the ranks of “impolite”. But thats just me.

Take it easy francis, er I mean clarence. I was kidding. I would never hit any button on an internet site that said “offensive” or “implolite”. I am not that thin skinned. That is the beauty of the net, you can get different views in an instant. Besides, everyone knows victim mentality resides mainly on the left.

Well, not necessarily because the bankers sure were ready to go over a cliff until Congress bailed them out. Except they were victims of their own requests for less regulation. The right has many hillbilly communities that have been victims as well. Personally, I dont think this is a left or right issue but a poverty issue.

We should try not to be so divisive with our statements because I think Patrick is on to something when he stated that partisanship is a method used by politicians to keep the people divided.
