I'm pretty sure it was a mistake. I read lots of news articles as well and never pay attention to the dates. Whatever is near the front page, I will assume it is recent. Maybe Patrick should check dates of articles before posting them is my guess as to what the OP is suggesting. Sounds reasonable.
Cost of Living Sucks; Everyone Leaving California
I think this is an anomaly. I was confused when I got into that article too. It all sounded so familiar. Then I noticed the year, 2009, and they kept referring to 2008 as "last year." Everyone is allowed to be human guys. I'm always amazed at how many current articles of interest Patrick gets "right" for his front page. He's a hard worker.
Just an honest mistake in posting that one. Someone mailed me the link. I saw July and didn't notice the year.
Someone emailed me that it was old and I removed it.

Elliemae, are you the Elliemae on eBay selling Ikea Slipcovers?
Patrick, love the site, read it every day, getting involved in the forum, could not help but notice mondays news article about California's cost of living is a year old. This is not the first article I have started to read only to discover it is not current.
