I like having the daily links going back several days. I think that having the forums scannable on the front page is also good. I liked having the link up top for forums, then again I notice whats going on in the other ones better now.
MY opinion is put the forum links back on top, but continue the rest, see how it goes.

Surprisingly enough, many people weren't aware that the forums existed until he put links to the front page.

I hope the complainers were also donors.
If not, well, if they don't like the way Patrick organized Patrick's website that Patrick maintains and pays for, in that case they should just go make their own blog websites.

Good point.
I like them on the front page. I didn't know the forums existed (and that is after knowing about the site for a couple years), till a couple months ago.
Sorry to put it so bluntly Patrick. Not one of the changes to the website has seemed good to me over the last 6 months (maybe longer, but I haven't been keeping track) ... but only this one compelled me to complain! Don't most people read the forums? Why place the links to forums at the bottom?
Please don't do what Microsoft does - where every new version moves every feature around for no good reason!
