There are laws on the books in many states which prohibit internet selling of RE. Many of these laws were introduced by state RE associations. Had we not had these laws, Ebay long ago would have had booming listings and sales.

Except, eBay would take ALOT more than 6%. Then another 12% because transactions must happen via Paypal.

Paypal's fee would indeed suck, if you had to use it. Those guys need to be regulated like a bank -- they arbitrarily make up their rules and enforce them inconsistently and unfairly. We need some consumer protection in this realm.
