Has anyone actually gone all the way through the Los Angeles County Board of Assessment Appeals property tax decline in value appeals process? That is, after the assessor has been asked nicely to lower its assessed value and has declined to do so. If so, I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences and success, or lack thereof. County assessor seems to think my Los Angeles area house value has increased since 2010 (oddly bucking most trends - I guess they don't read patrick.net). TIA.
