The drone that was taken down over Iran. Theory is that some of the hardware uses in the rover was made in China. China designed it with an unknown "backdroor" allowing Iran to hack into the rover.

China gets iranian oil in return. The two are working on a secret alliance to try and bring down the west. Beware CHIRANA!

(i think I've seen one too many episodes if Brad Metzker's "DECODED" series on the History channel.

Is this your work?

Good stuff, but we're great at making stuff that crashes.
We get a good run while it's in the air though and that's what really counts.

Our Guys are now saying that what is on the Video is a model, and not the actual wreck. Because it's in remarkable condition.

Though what's all talk about the drone being hacked into by an iPhone. I've seen several different worded references to that in the last few days. Is there an offical report or claim that it was hacked and brought down, or was it shot down?

Iran is a tiny country in the middle of the desert. China's need to partner with them is about the same as our need to partner with lithuania to bring down China.

I say that the butler did it.

Yes, it isn't even possible that America could intentionally let Iran capture this Trojan drone. I mean, the first thing Iran would do is take it to their top secret skunkworks facility for de-engineering. To further the subterfuge one could leak plans to recover the "sensitive" technology with a commando raid. And such techniques would certainly not give the Iranians the false sense of security in their defensive systems in a prelude to attack.

In such a scenario you would want military experts such as those writing for Forbes who are not in the circle of trust to shut the fuck up about how losing a drone like this is an impossibility.

Such a provocative action might prompt Iranian retaliation which would provide a pretext for open hostilities. It couldn't possibly increase the psychological pressure on the people and regime. No way.

Do you have any idea what you are talking about, or do you know absolutely nothing about foreign affairs?

Iran is a tiny country in the middle of the desert with the second LARGEST oil reserves in the world.

Yes, I know that Iran has oil. We aren't allowed to buy it. My comment still stands. If China wants to "bring down the US", partnering with Iran will get them absolutely jack shit. Oh no where will we get our Persian rugs?!?

The only real harm China could inflict on the US with Iran would be drawing us into yet another pointless, expensive war. That would require that they get another republican president though, and it would require Iran to want to go along with it for some reason.

Fun to speculate anyway. I always like hearing ideas that the mainstream media won't touch

What do you mean "draw us"?

Over the last 2 or 3 decades, US has gone and screwed the natural resource-rich countries -- the latest being Libya.

Main Steam America Media will not touch it cause they are too busy reporting the latest Hollywood scandal. If you want real news listen to BBC news.

Or NPR or PBS.

12   TPB   2011 Dec 12, 9:54am

The only difference in Fox reporting, and NPR reporting.
Someone in NPR corruption stories end up on the business end of a machete in the Congo. I think the BBC corespondent voice are so smoothing, it's like political porn. Libs here in the States listen to recounts of European Leftists agitating a fervor until some right-wing South Africa politician, ends up a international tribunal, found guilty and handed over to an angry rabble, that promptly dismembers him like a million ants working a cockroach. Libs on the I listening on the raidio drive with one hand on thier private parts saying, "YES! YES! OH GOD YES!!!"

Then in other news, the air is cleaner, and we all breath a little easier thanks to a Dow Chem and LG merger, to develop toxic drywall fibers into clean solar panels.

Oh let's take time to glorify a Gang banger responsible for probably twenty murders, but now has had a change of heart and has made an Artsy graffiti wall mural and is mentoring kids.

The PBS News hour, used to be called the MacNiel Lehrer news hour.

One thing for sure, and that is Tot has never NEVER seen it. IF he did, it would be far too dry and lacking what he needs to get (that is emotionally) out of the news he likes to watch.

All News USED to be the NEWS.

"USED TO" being the keyword here.

But I'm certainly not going to pick my favorite turd, out of this lot.
Crap is Crap and all news channels, papers, stations ect... are advertisers and political fund raisers. Don't you ever forget that, and try to lay one over as a valid source of being informed.

15   marcus   2011 Dec 13, 1:36pm

I'm very cynical, but I wouldn't even begin to agree with you. I honestly believe that the producers of shows such as Sunday morning "Meet the press" and "This Week" as well as the PBS news hours and many others, including much of CNN, have producers and editors with very strong objectives of being unbiased and balanced (not to say they are perfect, or that their bias might not occasionally slip in. They also might sometimes push too hard in the opposite direction of their own known bias, in an effort to be truly balanced.)

The GOP says

all news channels, papers, stations ect... are advertisers and political fund raisers

MY guess is that you tell yourself this so you can feel okay about preferring Fox or talk radio. You know they have a bias and an agenda, and you tell yourself, "that's okay, they all do."

Dream on.

What makes you so sure having another war requires a Republican president?
