Anonymousone does post a lot of things that aren't Ron Paul specific. By spam, what are you including?

I wouldn't call it spam if he posts things that are relevant to the forum, regardless of what his icon is. Looking over his posting history, about half of his recent posts are Ron Paul related. That is a lot of representation, but it is an election year, and he has been putting them in the political forum.

Since it is an election year, I'd suggest adding a temporary forum for talking about candidates. I think that would be the best solution as it encourages discussion about all candidates without polluting the other forums.

In other words, Politics would still be available for general political discussions, but if you were advocating or denouncing a particular presidential candidate for the 2012 election, you'd put your posting in the "Election" forum.

I certainly don't see any mal-intent on behalf of Anonymousone. Then again, I'm being nice on the off-shot chance that Anonymousone is really Ron Paul Girl.

In all due respects I don't think Obama really has a base anymore. I'm not saying I like everyone running for office but after members of his own party called out Obama for a lack of vision I don't think he can win.

Bush could make the argument in 2004 to continue him due to the war on terrorism (and ramblings about gay marriage). Now both those issues are nullified.

He even attacked his own base by calling police "stupid" and that the firing of teachers was "a good thing". Ticking off the other side is a given in politics..ticking off your own base is political suicide.

What the heck does Obama have to do with this? I'm sorry but people put way too much faith into him and the power of the presidency as a whole. He kicked the can down the road with healthcare which he knew would end up in the court system since he studied constitutional law. If he would have pushed for something else like the employee free choice act maybe he could have shown gains to his base.

Namely the ability to IGNORE should include threads posted by a particular author. Otherwise going to have to live with this until after the RP flameout.

I think just a few more dozen Ron Paul threads and I will switch my support from Fat Bastard to Little Ronny.

Considering Obama's dismal record on human rights, I'd have to agree. I was thinking North Korea too just watching the first video. It reminded me of the fake mourning over Kim's death.

I suspect all the Republican politicians with a descent change to win a presidential election are waiting until 2016 for the following reasons.

1. They won't have to go up against a black president, who will gain support simply for being the first black president.

2. Biden or Hilary will be an easier opponent to beat.

3. They believe the economy will start recovering close to 2016, allowing them to take credit for it as president.

4. Stupid, short-memory Americans will forget about Bush by 2016 and will fall for the same tricks again.

Hey Patrick, a suggestion: what would you think of enforcing a limit on thread creation? Say: one thread for every ten comments?

The most likely unintended side effect would be inane commenting to run up the count, but comments are easier to ignore than threads, and that strategy could only be pushed so far before they start meriting deletion and getting flagged. More significantly: it seems like it would be easier to just post stuff in relevant threads than to troll for commenting points.

Thank you, Patrick. This is a good idea. Those who want to limit and suppress information will be at a disadvantage. They won't be able to counter threads with their lies and distortions if they don't see it. I wonder how much traffic and advertising these few whiners bring to patrick.net. I'm sure you already know.

The non-members and future members of your site will be able to see and read the threads anyway.
