As it relates to the "current housing" crisis.
President Obama has rolled out programs to save families from losing their home. Some of the programs would reduce the principle of mortgages, ignoring all marketing mechanism to find a true bottom. Another program was the $8000 rebate/tax credit to encourage home buyers. Again, it seems his view is Govt needs to do something to control prices from falling.
Overall the Democratic party pretty much still views the down turn in RE prices as a "Mortgage Crisis" and not the result of a "Housing Bubble" and the correction. After bitterly demonizing the Banks and Wall Street in 2009=10, the Dems did a 180 degree and were putting pressure for banks to lend without regard to prudent lending standards.
If anything, we do really need "a more free market" to chase prices downwards as swiftly as possible so the correction does not last years and decades later.
C'mon, you have to give some reason you don't like Obama.
May not be Obama's fault but certainly his Czars from GE and Google should have warned him, that Investing or Lending in Solar and Clean tech, especially in companies located in Silicon Valley, is a highly risky move with a high chance of going bust, as it occurs too often. And which it did...
C'mon, you have to give some reason you don't like Obama.
There are good reasons. But if you just say "sucks ass" you don't sound like someone worth listening to. You sound like you hate him because he's black. Seriously.
You mean for the new people's edification, or have I been posting in Swahili the last 4 years?
Wow, Patrick just schooled TPB on this silly post, see:

So what will TPB say in response?? Probably nothing, . . . or just F...... Jellybeans taste like circles....

Oh I missed one? OK! Travis, basically we're in the middle of a major presidential Assfuck. That only I and a very few people can detect.
There's a cancerous brain infection spreading around the country. Where business people and politicians can be as corrupt as they care to be, we're in a lawless land. And just in case you suspect YOUR president should be able to make a difference.
Obama said last week, the President has no effect on gas price. Which is a damn lie, as he was effectively at that moment working to make gas prices higher. Let's see what else, oh yeah, I'm voting for anyone but Obama this year, and it just tears this lot up. They are used to being able to brow beat people with debates and moral fatigue. They are supposed to WIN, but I'm prepared vote for a rotten turnip, with a rat's bite out of it. How do you Upsale that?
Obama said last week, the President has no effect on gas price. Which is a damn lie, as he was effectively at that moment working to make gas prices higher.
So what exactly was Obama doing at that moment to make gasoline prices higher? Telling the Saudi's to pump less oil? Telling the Chinese to buy more of it?
That's f*cking crazy talk.
Look, I "get it" if a person thinks Obama isn't a great president. But given how f*d our economy is thanks to the massive housing bubble's collapse, I can't help but give him the benefit of the doubt on that.
You think $4 gasoline is bad? Wait until it's $10. It's coming, and it's not a matter of "if" but "when". So you'd better prepare for it, starting now. Oil is a finite, non-renewable resourse that's being used up at the rate of $87 million barrels per day. Think about that.
Obama has no control over global oil consumption and production. Hell it was the extreme Left that seemed to think Obama was the Second Coming of Christ back in 2008. Is it now the extreme Right that thinks Obama is Jesus and can create new Oil ex-nihilo? WTF?
2001 Oil Consumption by Nation
# 1 United States: 19,650,000 bbl/day
# 2 Japan: 5,290,000 bbl/day
# 3 China: 4,570,000 bbl/day
2009 Oil Consumption by Nation
# 1 United States: 18,690,000 bbl/day
# 2 China: 8,200,000 bbl/day
# 3 Japan: 4,363,000 bbl/day
Backing up the presses for a minute and getting back to the OP's post, the question that hasn't been answered is what is the objective of this post and others that all basically say the same thing: That they disapprove of the President.
So yes- we all fully acknowledge the OP's disapproval of the current President. If the point is to try and get those of us who support him to change our minds then that's not going to happen. If the point is to belittle the President then good luck because again- its a total waste of effort to do so if the reasoning is to try and change opinions because nobody is going to do that. We've all heard the exact same stuff over and over and over again. We who support Obama will continue to do so and we will vote.
That brings me to the next point. We can sit here and argue all day long. We could- at the very least have a civil and well-balanced, respectful debate. I for one would welcome that because this clearly isn't happening here or in the general populace. It'd be healthy in fact. But if that isn't possible then the single most important and effective thing you can do is to go to your local precinct on election day and cast your vote for the person you think would best run the country. That is your right as a US citizen. Otherwise spending countless hours bantering about this or that is pointless.
Otherwise spending countless hours bantering about this or that is pointless.
We should all leave it to the offical prognosticators or at least John Stewart, Colbert, or some other intelligent person that understands the issue. NO!
I put it out there, Obama 2012 isn't beating Obama 2008, you guys chose to kick this independent steaming pile of political poo, thinking I'd just scamper off into the night. where I stay at the edge of darkness only to be sensed by the whites of my eyes, and my nostril whistle brought on by political stress.
Ain't going to happen, I've paid good money to be this pissed off.
I'm the best advertisement Obama could buy. I love a good mystery, this election will be a who pundit, for sure. But I'm not going to sit quiet for the whole ride. I'm too fat for my seat, and I only bought one ticket, and you can't shut me up.
This just in, a Rotten Turnip with a rat's bite, and a hint of et Goat terd odure, has squeezed Obama out as the front 2012 presidential contender.

The point being made is that we don't really care what others think. I'm still voting for Obama. Nothing anyone else has said will change my mind. Thus the crux of the situation. Whats the most effective thing one can do to effect political change? Vote. That's it. Plain and simple.
NO! I wont let you.
You have to Vote for someone else.
Why would you want to vote on the wrong side of History?
Anyone is better than this.
We can't afford 4 more years of Bush.
Obama's reelection is all but guaranteed.
I think Romneybot has a chance, but it will be hard for the Religious Reich to vote for a Mormon.
I was just playin' Ya'll!
Obama is great, the whole country just loves him to pieces. He's the best president in the whole wide world. Oh ranga linga ding dong,"There's no silver bullet" Bama.

We already know that.
Edvard2, Nomo, have you, or any of you other pseudo intellectuals read "Liberty Definded"?
I didn't think so. i > u

Edvard2, Nomo, have you, or any of you other pseudo intellectuals read "Liberty Definded"?
What does that have to do with anything? Maybe I too will whip out some random book written by some political figure and and ask you if you have read it. The sheer hilarity of this post is growing by the minute.
I'm still waiting to hear what policy or action of Obama has had a direct (not imagined) negative impact on you.
1: Made federal taxes lower than at any other time since 1950. Thus I and others pay less taxes.
2:Increased federal spending on various infrastructure projects-aka- freeways, roads, sidewalks, and so on. I personally see this every day on my way to work. One stretch of freeway on my way to work has been pot-hole riddled for the whole 12 years I've lived here. It finally got resurfaced 2 years ago.
3: Decreased pharmaceutical costs for Seniors. My Grandmother takes a lot of medications. She has actually seen a lowering of her healthcare costs. That indirectly benefits my family.
And Abe, could you please quit submitting friend requests to me? I'm not going to accept them!

You've made twelve posts in this thread, yet you are unable to give one single reason why you hate Obama.
You know I was going to Vote Obama, but you couldn't leave well enough alone could you? Now it's your fault I'm going to vote republican. I hope Obama loses by one vote, so we can all blame you, and you'll be totally not cule. And everyone on Patnet will think you're lame and totally not cule.
I'm ignoring everyone I'm just to lazy to click all of them, or I can't bring my self to NOT read what was last written by the people I despise the most. But you're all on notice.
Wtfker80, Evward, ok if you haven't, or won't, read Liberty Defined, how about this one: What has Government Done to Our Money" by M. Rothbard.
Surely you must read SOMETHING, right?
Honest Abe
Bump to acknowledge the clairvoyance way back when...
