I believe it all boils down to this: America is split - approximately 25% are for big, manipulative government which ultimately results in oppression, dependency and tyranny...approximately 65% are in favor of limited constitutional government - including freedom, liberty and personal sovereignty. The rest are...undecided.

Everything else is just noise.

Speaking of noise...

2   edvard2   2012 Aug 17, 8:48am

Sometimes trolls make pretty awful noises.

3   Honest Abe   2012 Aug 17, 10:25am

OK, the noise sounds like this:

Where's the tax return? (Hypocrites Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi vs. Mitt Romny)
Where's the birth certificate? (Obama)
He laid off too many people. (Romny)
He's responsible for millions more on food stamps. (Obama)
Thats the noise.

The productive class treasures freedom, liberty and personal sovereignty. Whereas the entitlement class depends on big, manipulative government to support its dependency through oppressive laws and tyrannical acts.

All the rest is just noise in order to distract people from the ugly truth.

Conservative Democrats switch to GOP across the Deep South
Defections reflect the Democrats' drubbing in the midterm election and Republicans' consolidation of power in the South.

That would be the productive class of too big to fail bank bailouts, car industry bailouts, tax laws to keep competition at bay, huge bribes (sorry campaign contributions) to get payouts from the government, farm subsidies, etc., etc., etc., that productive class? There is a lot more corporate dependence on big manipulative government than social welfare.

Get your head out of Glenn Becks anal orifice and do a little research. Nah, never happened.

Bob - no, this is a revolt of the productive class. Its essentially an economic default on the obligation to support the non-productive class of bureaucrats and the entitled.

If YOU did a little research you'd realize the size of the collective anchors weighing down the USA is too great to overcome. The pain will soon be here but you my friend are still in denial.

The underlying issue is slavery, but of a more hidden kind. This time it's the enslavement of the productive classes of society by the entitlement class.

But the real patriots of America are uniting, along with the Tea Party and the libertarians and saying Taxed Enough Already and making their voices heard.

End the Bush era, vote Obama (the communist) out of office.

What a complete load of blustering nonsense.

14% of Americans are for a small government and freedom (those with libertarian leaning views).

86% are for big government. They just disagree over what that big government should spend their tax dollars on and how it should control their lives.

Nice non answer saying nothing. I can afford to be in denial, I have multiple citizenships. What's your plan?

Earth to Bob, the productive class is the 50% of Americans who work and file a 1099 each year. The unproductive class (the bureaucrats, the entitled class, the indentured voters, the takers, the freeloaders, the free lunch crowd, the left leaning socialists and communists) who don't work and don't file a 1099, yet expect to be supported by the 50% who do.

Note: bureaucrats euphemistically work and file a 1099

End the Bush era and vote Obama out of office.

What in the hell are you talking about? A 1099 is a form a business files for work done by an outside organization. Is the number you are searching for 1040? If you don't know the difference I have to seriously question which 50% you are in.

What is in indentured voter? Randomly throwing out words that you don't have a clue about the meaning does not make you any smarter.

Earth to abe. There are a lot of people in the 50% that pay taxes who are not even coming close to paying their share of taxes so they are freeloading off everyone who doesn't have access to high end accounting. Starting with Mitt Romney.

Earth to abe redux. There is a lot more welfare going to corporations than people. Check it out some time. I object to this much more than what is going to people, but there is certainly room to tighten things up on the people side.

Earth to abe redux, redux. People that don't make enough money to pay taxes aren't getting a free lunch, they just don't make enough money to pay taxes. If you don't have the conceptual ability to understand the difference then no one can possibly explain it to you.

You live in a very dark and paranoid world abe.

You do realize that almost all of the "entitled class" are kids and elderly? You seriously want them to be part of the "productive class"?

And who the hell are these "indentured voters, the takers, the freeloaders, the free lunch crowd". Can you be more specific, or is this just some vague feeling you have?

Abe only deals in vague feelings and stock am radio platitudes.

15   Honest Abe   2012 Aug 23, 4:03am

Mark, Bob, Automan, libs, socialists, pinko's & commies, one and all: The liberal bureaucrats that you support have yoked the working man, and future generations, to a grindstone of $100 Trillion of unfunded social liabilities, environmental worship, abusive, predatory bureaucratic regulations and give away programs of all shapes and sizes.

In case you haven't noticed, the forces of disruption are already upon us. And its going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

Besides, " if you got a business, you didn't build that, someone else made that happen". And do what Michelle said; "get out there and vote on Nov 2th".

End the Bush legacy, vote Obama OUT.

Its generally not a good idea to bother responding to posts like these. Its clear that the right wing media machine and conservative politicians have done a swell job of convincing their followers that any and all beneficial social programs are bad and that they should be happy to become increasingly poor by selling them on weird ideologically based economic theories which promise to "some day" make them all very rich.... somehow- they promise... They of course believe all of this steadfastly, blindly, and unquestionably which is why debating is a futile endeavor.

The scary thing is that some of their leaders are maniacs too. For example, people high up in the Bush administration seriously believed that they could introduce successfully free market concepts to Afghanistan, a country whose culture has been marked by tribal conflict for about 1,000 years. That was serious myopic wishful thinking.

18   edvard2   2012 Aug 23, 4:45am

I think the problem with economics and politics is that in order to make it palatable to the general populace it has to be dumbed down to a level that makes these plans totally useless. These aren't economic "Plans". They're economic ideology.

The economy is a living, breathing thing in a constant state of flux. Both parties have for years been peddling the same basic economic plans. These have zero bearing on what actually goes on out on Wall Street. Neither approach is exactly right. Sure- perhaps there is some truth that we should simply let things go willy-nilly with no regulations and likewise its also a nice idea that there should be oversite to help keep things in order.

Neither total direction works in a pure form. The answer is in between and ever-changing.But politicians insist on peddling the same decades-old, worn-out, impractical plans they've been selling forever.

Nice work abe, that's certainly a balanced well thought out response. For a petulant 7 year old.

I don't support the bureaucrats. I also don't blindly support the plutocrats like you do. Returning to the guilded age isn't interesting to me. Not that you have a clue what the guilded age was or who named it or why.

Obama sucks. I never supported him and he has done a really crappy job. But I don't see any improvement with Romney/Ryan. All they will do is cut taxes for the wealthy, gut regulations to let the super wealthy get even wealthier then bail them out when everything crashes again, and spend just as much as Obama driving the debt even higher. That's the fact jack.

Environmental worship? The clean air and water act were republican legislation. Didn't glenn beck tell you? You would prefer to go back to a time where rivers caught fire and you couldn't even see cities like NY because of all the air pollution. I lived then and yes I do worship air I can breath and water I can drink or swim in. Feel free to travel out of your small am radio world to live somewhere that has real pollution for a while to see what you are wishing for.

Please consider actually thinking on your own. You might find it liberating.
