Way to take one data point about some hooker in Phoenix and extrapolate to all women. I've noticed that patrick.net is nearly all middle-aged men and you constantly reinforce your erroneous opinions about women (and many other subjects) by preaching to the choir.

How do you know?

francophile100 says

I can assure you (I'm a woman) that the vast majority of us are not going to screw anyone to get a car fixed. I literally rolled my eyes when I read this post.

Why does that matter? You said yourself that you don't blame her, so why do you try to make the point that she is the utter exception? Who cares, no judgement is placed.

I am one of those 40 something divorcee moms you men love to rag on here (oh, I forgot, I should be sad and lonely at home and wishing for some fat loser husband). In fact, I have a good job and support myself, have 3 boyfriends and am really happy with life. All I can say is that I am doing things exactly as I please and though I really did wish my marriage had worked, it didn't and I moved on with life. Sorry to burst your collective bubble about how women are supposed to be.

That's cool. I don't think anybody raged on divorcees, it was more about divorce laws.

I dated a stripper once briefly, she was saving for law school tuition. One of the hottest and nicest girls I ever dated

Pics?

I don't have one, that was 10 years ago and we lost touch. 5'11, killer body (athletic), olive complexion skin, medium long brown/auburn hair, pretty face and eyes, moves like Jagger, medium (handful) cup size, maybe a bit bigger since my hands are big as well ;) She wanted to get them augmented which I thought was totally unnecessary. Hope she is doing great, achieved all her career goals and leads a happy life :)

Good for you. All most are saying here is do it on your own dime. Once the marraige breaks, since this is the age of equality-you earn your own money and live on your own funds-then have 3 boyfriends or 30-who cares??? But taking money from your ex husband and using it to get a boytoy-is preposterous and those laws need to change. Also as a parent, half the responsibility for the child is yours-the other half is the husband and he can pay for half rent or half food or some such combination-but the current law is just bizarre.

But that is typical modern pseudo feminism-anytime men ask women to be responsible for their own choices, they are labelled as misogynist. Nope-you wanted equality and you got it and now quit trying to have the best of both worlds.

I wonder how many divorce-initiators enter their marriages in bad faith.

They don't want or need your respect.

Maybe this is where we need to find a stripper and use the Invite an expert to fact-check this option.

I don't need my patron's respect, just their bling.

Hey, a guy's gotta supplement his income someway.

A whore is a person who puts a price on service some might consider priceless.

One of my favorite architects, Philip Johnson, famously called himself a whore.

Whoever commissions buildings, buys me. I'm for sale. I'm a whore. I'm an artist.

Nothing is priceless.

Hence "whore" is just a label. In the end, it is all art and commerce.

2) Which woman are they respecting, or disrespecting? Please be more specific.

For the most part, I've found the posters here to be your typical person. Both male/female, etc. Sure, there are some sexist comments, but most of the men here are probably very nice people. They just let their inner child out and make some stupid comments.

I'm glad your life is on track. :)

12x3:
I do speak for all "woman." (that's me). If you mean that I don't speak for all "women," you're correct. Just as you don't speak for everyone - just yourself. And you certainly don't speak correctly. Not even close.

Might I suggest that you place those people on "ignore" that you don't like? From your posts, it appears that it would be a very long list.

Just as you have chosen to ignore racism, bigotry , hatred of woman and abuse, I may choose not to.

It is you who is on a high horse, one with blinkers.

The glory of the interwebs is that I can say whatever the fuck I feel like. I'm speaking for myself. If you assign me more power than I actually possess, that's on you.

It's "you're," fyi. And it's kinda pathetic when you click "like" on your own comments.

It is you who is on a high horse, one with blinkers.

Horses have blinders, cars have blinkers. You communicate on a grade school level. You might be taken more seriously if you were to choose your battles, rather than to appoint yourself the defender of everyone.

As a woman, I'm fully capable of fighting my own battles. If I find something to be offensive, I can respond however I deem to be necessary.

I don't need some anonymous idiot on the interwebs to defend me, my gender, my race or anything else about me. Especially someone who lacks the ability to communicate on an adult level.

2) attacks on race

12x3,
Like I said, I must go. If you would like to continue this "discussion," might I suggest that you find a fifth grader who can help get your message across? It would be refreshing, having a discussion with someone easier to understand.

For example:

See ya, apologist. Most people who are apologists for abusers have suffered abuse at some point in life, have had no therapy and seem to tolerate it even accepting of it.

Not funny and not a joke. It is not warranted.

12x3:
When you attacked me based on sexist stereotypes, you showed your true beliefs. Everything that you purport to speak out against is suspect.

But, fyi, I don't have a laundry girl. I'm sure you don't get that joke, because of your communication limitations.

Wow. You've gone from accusing people of being sexist, racist, etc to being actual abusers. FYI, all the shit you read on the interwebs about abuse doesn't make you a professional. Pretending to be one, however, makes you look like an idiot.

No, can you read?
You continue to question others myself on our education and yet you ignore rebuttals (just like cptidiot and zzyzyz, ruki) and I put it to you again for the third time, you are an apologist. This has nothing to do with stereotypes. Look the word up.

64   elliemae   2013 Jan 6, 5:04am

121212 says

Dude - it's not a single spelling mistake. You really need a spell check as well as someone to help you communicate more effectively. Nearly every post contains bad spelling and even worse grammar.

It doesn't make me look like an idiot - your inability to comprehend the messages you send doesn't just make you appear to be an idiot, it solidifies the appearance.

You claim to speak out against sexists and racists... but in a (feeble) attempt to attack me, you make a sexist comment about my having to do the laundry. Such a comment diminishes my worth, as if my only value is to do laundry. It appears that, when you are backed into a corner, you strike out using a stereotype. That's reflective of your actual beliefs, even though you attempt to hide behind the opposite.

121212 says

You continue to question others myself on our education and yet you ignore rebuttals

I am struggling to understand what that statement means.

The Professor says

I had to ignore 12*3 shortly after he joined in December because of his inanity, typos, bad grammar, and personal attacks. The only time I see his posts are when someone quotes him. I stand by his freedom of speech but I also like the fact that I can ignore him. Am I missing anything of entertainment value by having him on ignore?

Ignore really works.

Professor,
I don't have many people on ignore. I'm adding 12x3 to that list because I don't tolerate sexists who attack me and believe that my only worth is to perform housework for a man. I'm hurt - and am not sure that I'll be able to recover from the blatent sexism that was displayed here today.

I'm shocked that such an attitude still exists in this century.
