It's so hard to determine which is greater with the current group of republican leaders in congress, their lack of intelligence or their lack of integrity.

I think it's the latter. They only crave power. THey are willing to harm America and it's future if they can gain power to act on behalf of the plutocrats and corporations.

Maybe they figure that somehow if they can fuck over America and the middle class bad enough, they can somehow blame it on democrats and their policies.

Consider the debt problem they caused with tax give aways to the rich. Now they say the problem was spending all along and we have to cut medicare and social security.

But everyone knows that it was "surpluses as far as the eye can see" when Bush did his famous tax cuts (mostly for the rich), and then we proceeded with multiple wars off the books and medicare part D.

Quick, spend money in ways that goes to the 1%, to drive up the debt, then we'll have a justification to spend less on "socialist programs" after that.

This is how their minds work.

You're right in a way, that they are more the same than they are different.

But it does make a difference, which side is in power.

True, but they are still fighting each other in order to present the illusion that we have a 2-party system. The current round of Republicans trying to sabotage ACA just so they can feel like they "won" is not helping the country. It's hurting it. This is the first thing the government has done in decades that has the potential to actually help the middle class, and they're trying to destroy it before it even starts.

I spoke to an Adult the other day, he honest believed Obamacare is going to benefit him some how. Then I explained it to him, as only I can, now he want's to defect back to Texas.
