GOP operate on the principle that their masters should be allowed to pillage at will.

"Republicans are demanding the administration agree to change the structure of the agency before allowing the Senate to move forward with its consideration of former Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray. "

Structural changes like requiring a board rather than a director, and yearly budget approval, are quite unlike other oversight agencies and represent blatant attempt to obstruct and eviscerate. Couldn't be more plain GOP are not on the side of the citizens.

How did Dems obstruct the govt. when Bush was president? Give examples.

This is just like when they pushed out Elizabeth Warren.

GOP should change name to RBP, Robber Baron Party.

You can't name a single example.

Their job IS to obstruct the government. That is what opposition parties do. That is their function.

Wow, that's incredibly stupid policy. The function of the opposition should be to be an opposition and to espouse an intelligent alternative. Obstruction is a fool's job and does not take intelligence or good thought. In England, the opposition has a platform, and the opposition runs on it. I've seen some of your nonsense in other threads, where you say only Obama was elected to do things -- that's just moronic. Every elected official is elected to do stuff, and if they aren't, they should be voted out of office, regardless of their ideology.

This just shows that you have nothing substantive to say, since your philosophy is that an opposition should have nothing substantive to say and should just spew random nonsense and incoherent policy statements. You're everything that's wrong with our current political environment.

You still can't name an example, of course, as always. Not a single one.

Wait, I thought it was to GOVERN.

Sounding more like the Red Guard or the Shining Path all the time now Shrek. What's next? Teabaggers blowing up Federal buildings?

The job of the opposition party is to offer an laternative, not to shut down the entire process.

Exactly.

See, it's obstruction that is the problem and creates "uncertainty" as some people like to say. Substantive commentators recognize this:

Contrary to popular belief, passed laws do not create uncertainty because they are known entities. What does create uncertainty is gridlock because then people don't know what's going to happen. The recent debate over the debt ceiling is a great example of that -- if Congress has such a shitfit over something so obvious, then what are they going to do with the hard issues?

Further proof of the OBSTRUCTION of the Party of No.

They are all for Tax Cuts.

Well unless Obama did it, then they are agin it.

GOP opposed to Obama 1-year payroll tax cut with exception of McCain and Brown.
