Right, what I meant was that given that Russia is gigantic, Africa is stupendously huge.

I think those images are from two different maps. Russia spans East to West almost the whole entire hemisphere.
Russia should be a little wider than Africa. The Arabian Peninsula is of part of Africa. There's a lot of conflicting information on total land area on both countries.
