This is stereotomy profile picture and I think it's fucking hilarious. I 1st saw it here on patnet and now for years whenever I see a hand drier in a public restroom I think of it, and wish I had a sticker to put on there.

Mom lion would still be able to hear the pup and the bird's wings even without visual contact. But, like Pat says, impossible to know these days.

Of course not. An adult lioness weighs over 250 pounds, plus the weight of that cub. No way a bird could carry that much weight, let alone add altitude. The bald eagles that live around here max out at lifting 7 pounds. That African eagle, even with a 7 foot wingspan, weighs at most 15 pounds, so it would struggle with even a 10 lb load. That lion cub looks at least 20 pounds.
