Folks, expect a whole lot of pandering by politicians in the next few month. Professional liars are never late.

Hmm...

So our two options are:
1) Cut nothing, keep taxes low - have US become totally insolvent & default on its debts at some point
2) Cut budget, increase taxes - tank the economy

Sounds like we have painted ourselves into a corner.

Those are the choices.

We know which choice it will be. It will be #1 since you dont know when the currency collapse will happen it will probably happen when the next president/regime is in power.

But if you cut budget AND increase taxes you wont be popular, you wont get reelected, and most of all you wont be sugar daddy to all your favorite causes/supporters.

Democracy is naturally self bankrupting over long enough time period. Its really part of the larger debt/business/recssion cycle I suppose.

3) Cut part of the budget, increase taxes slightly, have US become more insolvent, and most importantly, keep the US from defaulting on its debts until the next election.
}

At last a student of history. Not only democracy, but every form of government tried so far has proved self bankrupting.

See,the problem is not with any form of government. It is the people. People are same regardless of any form of government,so it is the Karma of people that makes the system bankrupt!
