It's probably best, IMO, to have a Democrat president and a Republican congress.
Republican presidents have this nasty habit of starting wars. So we're probably better off with a Democrat president. But in order to keep a "balance of power" it's probably good to have a Republican congress. In America, we take the *worst* ideas from the left and right, so deadlock is the best we can hope for: at least bad ideas have less chance of becoming law.
It worked well enough in the late 90's. Remember those days? Remember when our biggest national "problem" was Clinton getting a BJ in the oval office?
I guess Ruki is wrong after all. No surprise there, but the general consensus is that Romney was always going to lose, but with the Ryan pick the election is basically over.
