He lost those things because the Liberal won, thanks for reinforcing the FACTS, Dan.
That's why I always vote a straight democrat party line ticket.
Because I'm smart and I know that those stupid, evil, greedy republican politicians are out to get me, and the altruistic democrat politicians only reason for living their selfless lives is to help save me.
Id blow george soros while warren buffet backdoors me, if I knew it would help team democrap beat the reupublitards

Liberals despise the facts? Facts are facts. From reading this forum, I rather suspect that it is your opinions that liberals despise rather than the facts.

Funny how there hasn't been the normal Liberal response to that chart...... crickets........
I guess in the words of Jack Nicholson the Libs fit this statement.... "You Can't Handle The Truth".....
Well, at the end of the day..... do you like Peas????
I don't know what the details of your health care system are. What I do know is that it's very nice for people with good insurance and fucking awful for those without.
I like peas. They're also good for you.
There's plenty of stuff not to like about Obamacare, but not much of it is in that chart. Are you an importer of branded drugs? What on there do you think is bad?
I have top of the line health insurance, and I couldn't imagine being stuck inside a worse system then are so called "health care insurance"
It consumes 18% of my annual compensation package, down a black fucking hole, because even though I've dumped over 40k into the goddam thing in my eight years at my current job, the day I leave for the next, that money vanishes into the pockets of the pelosis and obams
Not to mention everything that the so called insurance and 'health' 'care' industrys are about, I couldn't be any more anti. People think they feel sick, after watching the boob tube six hours per day and all the pharma laden propaganda, they are tricked into thinking something is wrong with them, for which there is a magic pill. But that magic pill causes anal pussing, ocular bleeding, and cirrosis, for which there is another magic pill, that cures the side effects of the other magic pill. What a sick fucking circle jerk
Snip
EVERYONE knows that a placebo — a fake medication or sham procedure, typically used as a control in a medical trial — can nonetheless have a positive effect, relieving real symptoms like pain, bloating or a depressed mood. The placebo effect is a result of the patient’s expectation that the treatment will help.
But expectations can also do harm. When a patient anticipates a pill’s possible side effects, he can suffer them even if the pill is fake. This “nocebo†effect has been largely overlooked by researchers, clinicians and patients. In an article recently published in the journal Deutsche Ärzteblatt International, we and our colleague Ernil Hansen reviewed 31 studies, conducted by us and other researchers, that demonstrated the nocebo effect
Save your pennies....... you'll them need to pay your fair share...
Hardly.
1. Most of us don't have $200K a year in taxable income as singles or $250K as a couple. Even with nominal earnings that high your taxable income is less - $17,000 per person for 401K contributions, $3800 minus phase out per person for personal exemptions, and state income taxes which total over $15,000 per year in California (minus phase out) by the time you get to that level. The big mortgages popular among high earners also insulate them from the surtax.
2. Extremely good insurance plans don't cost that much. COBRA for my 0 deductible, 0 co-pay, 0 co-insurance (Microsoft) plan would have been $6000 a year in 2007.My current group coverage with normal deductibles is about $4800 for an individual and $12,000 for a family.
5. I'm not dumb enough to not purchase health insurance.
8. Healthy people with health insurance don't spend over $2500 a year on medical expenses, even with frequent replacements of designer eyeglass frames.
9. People with insurance are unlikely to break even the existing floor for medical expense deductions even with major medical problems. Where they do they likely have HSAs to go with their high-deductible plan which are filled with pre-tax dollars. Also note that medical expenses are a below-the-line deduction which doesn't benefit people until their itemized deductions exceed the standard deduction.
12. The rules aren't that complicated for what you can and cannot spend HSA money on
13. Non-prescription drugs are so inexpensive being able to save 28% is not a significant amount of money
The rest apply to businesses.
If you're going to knock Obama's health care plan, pick something which may actually affect a significant number of people - like the prohibition on catastrophic coverage plans for people over 30 or requirement that insurance companies charge young people early in their career at least 1/3 as much as old expensive people.
Or speculate logically - with health insurers only allowed to retain 20% of their premiums the only way they can make more money is by spending more on health care which will in turn cause their premiums to rise. Those of us making too much money for government subsidies will be screwed.
Or address the real issue - that it's yet another funnel of tax payer dollars into private industry to maximize their profits instead of directly benefiting the people.

Indeed, this is the real issue.
I spoke with a doc yesterday who spent hours on the phone the other day trying to get her patient the care he needed. The doctor was forced to do this herself, as the insurance was refusing the treatment.
It's frustrating when a person needs care and the highly trained physician can provide it - only a $10/hr worker at the insurance company gets to decide.
I guess frusturating is one word for it
It makes me want to gouge my eyes out with a spork and eat them as my last meal before having a bullet for desert

The treatment for this injury might not be fully covered! Dont do it!
I deal with insurance every day - it sucks when I try to explain the system to my patients/clients. Since everyone is different, I can't put it in writing without it becoming a... well, a book. :)

I deal with it too on a regular basis, mostly Medicare. Most people have no idea how screwed up the insurance industry truly is!!
I can't wait till we have the bureaucrats of Obamacare deciding on what procedures we will be "allowed" to have.....
Yeah, it's much better when some private company with a profit motive decides what procedures you're allowed to have. I'm sure they are on your side, looking out for your best interests.
I have lived in three countries besides the US: Japan, the Netherlands and the UK. All three had nationalized health care which I found far better than the US system. You go in, pay $20 or so, the doctor takes care of you, you leave. The big difference is that you don't then get random bills for six months after each visit together with an incomprehensible "explanation of benefits" describing why your so-called insurance doesn't cover something or other.
You know, come to think of it every modern country in the world has inexpensive nationalized health care except for this one. I guess that's what makes the US so...exceptional!
