Exactly what it describes in the article.

When you can pay back your debts (you have assets that you can back payments with) it is one thing (i.e. sell a home when it's in a positive equity territory to pay off the mortgage). However, when there's nothing on the horizon that can be used to pay back that $16 tril, it's definitely a concern. From what I remember, we still had a surplus under Clinton, so it appears that this whole amount was accumulated over the last 12 years. The double whammy of tax cuts followed by going to 2 wars are the main culrpit of starting us on this road. At this point, I think that even if tax rates were reisntated to Clinton's brackets that it wouldn't make that much difference.

God, at the risk of being labelled a troll, on this point I just have to ask - why does anyone listen or respond to any republican anymore when they present "facts"?

Really, there's just no credibility left at all.
