Yeah, you're right. Now that I think about it, Patrick started a thread awhile back about black people being more likely to murder white people or some such drivel. Although I didn't think it was very enlightened, I didn't find it overtly racist, so I didn't complain about it. But it does show you where Patrick's sentiments lie with regard to race.

zzyzzx's thread title WAS overtly racist, but what's more discouraging, I think, is that quite a few forum members saw fit to joke around about it, and not in a disapproving way, but in a "we're going along with you" way.

What's shocking is that there only seem to be a couple of people who even care.

You do understand that the joking around is their way of saying, "This is not an issue; you shouldn't be offended", right? You were belittling me by suggesting that this is simply a matter of "political correctness", and comparing it to a trivial example of such. But I do not find blatant racism to be a trivial matter.
