The latest jobs numbers show that part-time employees are declining as a percentage of the workforce. That wasn’t supposed to happen, according to critics of the Affordable Care Act (a.k.a Obamacare), who argued the health-reform law would create a nation of part-timers as employers attempt to dodge a new requirement to provide insurance for those who work 30 hours a week or more.

Sorry, ACA-haters - data trumps anecdotes.

It's really too soon to say if it will, since it doesn't even start until next year.

Funny, there have been a number of threads already claiming it as fact that ACA had increased the percentage of part time jobs, but in THOSE threads, I don't recall you ever saying "it's too soon to say".

Obamacare will be like God coming to Earth to abolish kittens and ice cream. And then telling us that Jesus wasn't real.

"But God, I thought you loved us. Isn't that what Jesus said?"

"Say, what, muthahfuckaz?" - God is a black guy who speaks ebonics - "Don't know no 'bout no Jee-zus! Y'all got jacked big-time by some slime-ass liah! My only son wuz Hitler - you don't treated him real good - not!"

Uh-oh!

Try This....

Obamacare Full Frontal: Of 953,000 Jobs Created In 2013, 77%, Or 731,000 Are Part-Time

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-08-02/obamacare-full-frontal-953000-jobs-created-2013-77-or-731000-are-part-time

Um, need to check the date of that article, buddy. Part time jobs did go up in July, but that was just a seasonal blip. My article is from today; yours is from August 2. Booyah!

Nice Try...

Um, no - that's what I should say to YOU. I posted a current article showing that the percentage of part time workers is going DOWN, not up. You posted some rubbish that's out of date, and you got spanked, HARD.

So admit you fucked up and posted an out of date blog by a hack. Don't just try to throw more shit against the wall hoping something will stick. Labor Force Participation Rate? Complete non-sequitur. You're flailing, dude. Just can't bring yourself to admit you lost an argument, huh?

And I posted a chart showing the percentage of ALL workers going down, not just a "selective" group like you did to try and prove YOUR narrative.

I'm not "proving a narrative", I'm DISPROVING a claim by ACA haters. They claimed that ACA is causing a change from full-time jobs to part-time jobs. The LFPR chart you posted says nothing whatsoever about part-time jobs. Therefore it is irrelevant to this discussion. A 4 year old could understand that. Can you?

And even if it WERE relevant, it is fraught with problems. LFPR measures the percentage of ALL Americans in the work force. But it doesn't take age into account at all. It completely fails on the fact that the baby boomers are retiring, and the population as a whole is much older than it was in the past. The percentage of people in the work force become lower because more people are RETIRED. Also, the LFPR chart clearly begins going down long before ACA ever came into existence. So if you are trying to establish a causal relationship between ACA and the direction of the chart, that is an obvious FAIL on your part as well. And lastly, you have the problem that unemployment has gone DOWN throughout Obama's presidency, so trying to claim that ACA is causing unemployment to go UP is pure idiocy.

I know, my August LFPR chart was SUCH a long time ago......

I posted the chart. Did you bother to even look at it? Seems not. Clearly, there was a blip in July, and that's what your idiot blog post was commenting about. But you can clearly see that it reversed the following month. It matters not a bit that your post was "only" 2 months out of date, since the phenomenon in question only lasted one month. Might as well be 1000 years out of date, since it sheds absolutely no light on the issue. So why are you being disingenuous like this? Troll much?

Call it Crazy says

It's OK, you'll be a Obamacare cheerleader right up to the end, we get it.... Hope you enjoy the implosion!!!!

Ah, add a sprinkle of ad hominem, "like" your own post, and we have a big steaming pile of shit ala Call It Crazy.
