The school administrators are correct, the students need AK47's to fire in the air instead.
For every "Good School" district there are 50 "Bad School" districts, with several bad schools in them.
These kids are obviously losers, while other students are getting high and goofing off, they were busy studying so that they could buck the system by throwing their caps in the air.
They could shoot their eyes out.

Only if chambered for. 22LR, 7.62X39 is too expensive!

My response would be "Fuck you". Then I'd sue the school for all the tax revenue they got for the past four years. If the school isn't doing it's job of turning kids into educated high school graduates, it should give back all the tax dollars it got.
And to demand that students apologize is to violate their First Amendment right to free speech by literally extorting them to speak something they don't mean. That alone should get the entire school dechartered and all the admins banned from ever working a government job again.
Furthermore, just because some old bag thinks an act is disrespectful doesn't make it so. Hey dipshit, the entire world doesn't revolve around you. The throwing of caps in the air is an act of celebration that has nothing to do with you.
As a student, I'd still claim to be a graduate. If an employer asks the school for verification and they say otherwise, I'd sue the ass off the school for slander and make them explain in court why they withheld diploma status from an entire class that earned that status and has educational rights under law. Yeah, I'm sure a jury would be very sympathetic to those blowhard admins.
This is a clear case of petty, small-minded assholes who have been given a little power and developed Napoleon complexes. Such deranged people should not be allowed to work with minors.
