Snowden, and all of the citizens in this article our heroes of our remaining Constitutional Republic. If a person denounces any of these whistle-blowers as traitors, then they are part of the problem and announce themselves as the true traitors of our union. Hitler was a mad man, his government was evil, and he had many terrible people working for him, but it was the ignorant majority of fearful people in Germany, the everday idiots like the people calling Snowden a traitor, that really were what lifted Hitler to power and kept him there far too long.
You can bet the house that China and Russia will continue their levels of spying. Despite everything Snowden uncovered and whatever public prohibitions Obama puts in place, US spying will continue unfettered.
We will not cede advanced information gathering to foreign enemies, regardless of your personal views.
Times are achanging.
Get on board or get the hell out of the way.

We will if the NSA keeps dumbing down encryption and putting in backdoors in hardware/software. Only a matter of time before other countries figure out how to use that backdoor themselves.

Spoken like a true Jacobin. We'll laugh while you drive off a cliff - "This road wasn't closed by the Founding Fathers for a good reason! Hit the gas!"

Spying on governments and spying on citizens are two entirely different things. Throughout history, spying on one's own citizens has always lead to tyranny and eventual revolt or invasion.

That's assuming they haven't already. That's a very big assumption. I'd be shocked if China wasn't already exploiting these flaws.
