I don't see 1 person on the ground with a willingness to put Iraq back together.

The only thing that would reunite Iraq is an other massive US invasion which is not likely to happen.

So this leaves us with 3 new countries:
- a Kurdistan country that will immediately have territorial conflicts with Syria, and with Turkey, a NATO member.
- a Sunny country controlled by extremists, at war with Syria and implicitly allied with Saudi Arabia
- an Iran-style shiit Ishlamic republic, allied with Iran, a Syrian dictator, and Lebanese Shiite militia.

Given the religious nature of the conflict, I would say the US is lucky if Saudi Arabia and Iran sit this one out.

Number of US allies among these 3 countries: 0.

What's interesting is to see how the US create exactly the things they seek to avoid.

Nice job Bush and Obama.

That's what is said publicly.
Privately, it's a long range strategy for the participants to self-annihilate, thus opening the door to a tamped down, more approachable middle east.

We won't have to do anything at all. They will be killing each other in the name of God. Russians, Chinese, Iranians, Americans and Europeans, all of them will be selling them arms.

I can't remember if Obama is supporting Isis against Assad, or Iran (who supports Assad) against Isis.

Maybe I don't see the genius in it.

As long as Obama can squeeze oil out of it and they forgot about Israel, it's a success?

I wonder if Turkey will take it back?

Nice job Bush and Obama.

This is all on Bush and the neo-cons. For Obama to double-down on stupid decision would be, well, stupid. It would cost hundreds of billions of dollars and many American lives to find out what we already know. There are plenty of people and countries in the world that hate us. Military force at great cost hasn't changed that. It's only made it worse.

We lost this one. Let it go. Time to clean up our own backyard.

I'm not sure if Obama really knows what's going on, and who to support.
What a mess. I'm sure glad I'm not the President.

This one is not finished yet. It doesn't stop there just because we don't care.
We already have war in Syria and Iraq and Lebanese forces involved. Soon we may have Iran.
What about Turkey and the Saudis? One wonders.

Some ASSHOLE Democrat or Republican & I don't think I can stand to listen to the shit that will come out or their mouths for the 2 years that they will be running for the office of Commander & Chief Fuck Up.But what will be worse is listening to the media give their brilliant opinion on all the candidates.

I can't get enough of George Carlin.
"The table has tilted folks. The game is rigged and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care! Good honest hard-working people; white collar, blue collar it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on. Good honest hard-working people continue, these are people of modest means, continue to elect these rich cock suckers who don’t give a fuck about you….they don’t give a fuck about you… they don’t give a FUCK about you."

" They don’t care about you at all… at all… AT ALL. And nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. Thats what the owners count on. The fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick thats being jammed up their assholes everyday, because the owners of this country know the truth.

It's called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it."

A good dose of reality seems to ease my stress.

Since we are not all going to die because of the neo-cons mistake it makes a huge difference if our goal is not to repeat that mistake.

If I put that quote below a picture of Hillary Clinton, Teabaggers get BENGHAZI-RAGE!

Saudi's are THE problem. They will do what they always do, pay proxies to fight for them.

Hillary's next. The oligarch's dream. How much does a half-million in gold weigh, anyway? Will she need Imperial Attendants to help her hoist in on in the White House? Per State Dept. release (required by law, or you'd never hear about it).

"The annual list of gifts from foreign leaders to government officials in 2012 was released by the State Department on Thursday.

The most valuable gift was "white gold jewelry with teardrop rubies and diamonds containing a necklace, a bracelet, earrings and a ring" valued at $500,000 to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton from Saudi King Abdullah.

She also received a "Mouawad Larme D'Amour 18k gold, sapphire, and diamond earrings, necklace, and bracelet," valued at $58,000 from the Queen of Brunei and a $1,750 silver tea set from the president of Algeria."

"UNLV student leaders ask Hillary Clinton to disgorge $225,000 speaker fee"

Ah youth, a little too late for them. She'll show up to bag the quarter-million in an hour.
College students exist to be devoured by the boomers, and their Politburo politicians.
Good luck getting a job. Be sure to pay those loans on time.
