Must be a Democratic police officer. A Republican would want the lady to die quickly or shoot her to save insurance companies any medical cost.
No, with all the news about the police causing trouble lately, it is worth putting a little reality into the perspective.
Generally though cops are attracted to that field because they enjoy putting a "stop" to things. Does it mean they are all bad? that is the point.
All cops are democrats though...
I'm surprised AF did not make an untoward comment, too easy I guess?
All cops are democrats though...
Here on earth, that is not true. I can't speak for where you live.
Here on earth, that is not true. I can't speak for where you live.
Where I live there is a huge premium paid to public servants

And your point is...
why do you say that?
Because the democrats are the ones who push for public unions and greater benefits for them.
In Calif they own politics. We did/do have a democrat super majority in both branches of state legislation.

So this means ALL cops are democrats?
All cops are democrats though...
Do you have a point?
Yes, I do. My point is that you made a stupid claim - like you often do here - and could not back it up with any facts. So you change your "all" to "certainly most".
How do you come to that conclusion? You pull it out of your ass. You "guess" that since Democrats have historically been more pro-union/pension that cops must naturally be Democrat.
Problem is that historically (before the current tea party era) both parties have pandered to public employees. Go to a conservative city in the 80s and you'll find a republican mayor pandering to civil servants by raising their pensions/benefits.
And finally, according to Gallup you're dead wrong.

That's my point.

So fucking what

You bet certainly in Calif
Now about your stupid claim, the link shows opinions about different professions according to their political affiliation. Not reading your own link is pretty fucking stupid I would say?
Here is a poll by the same company that shows public unions are infested by democrats:

At least he has a link, not saying it's true because I believe it's true like you always do.
An awful lot of cops I know are republican. Most did the high school athlete, go into the military, then join the police career route. I suppose next you'll say all of the military are democrats because they are also public employees. The CIA? NSA? Democrats all?
At least he has a link, not saying it's true because I believe it's true like you always do.
Trying to explain a priori to someone who is sold on the empirical method is a tough sell. But that does not mean it is wrong or is possible to show in a "link".

Completely meaningless as usual. I;m sure the clerks and jerks are heavily dem. What percentage of public employees in any state are cops though? Pretty damn small. NYC which has the most cops per citizen by a wide margin, yet only only 15% of the city budget goes to the police force. The entire force, not the payroll. Anyplace else is a lot smaller.

You're right it doesn't say cops are more republican, but it does say that republicans trust cops and clergy more than democrats. I also gave a link to party donations by profession showing police officers give more to republicans.
You said "all cops are democrats". I was just pointing out that I think you are wrong. In fact, I know your are wrong. My cousin is a cop in So. Cal and is 100% republican.

Sam has one apple, suzie has one apple, how many apples are there in california logic ins't a link.
Yea that empirical method, actually looking up facts, is a tough sell to the I believe because I threw enough random facts out crowd.

Fair enough, it was a figure of speech. Surely you can find something better to argue about than that?
In other words you couldn't find a link.bob2356 says

Yet no link...

I think it was a little more than a figure of speech, or you would have said so right away. I guess I'm just tired of all the 100% this or that that seems to saturate opinions on this site. Too many blowhards on both sides of the aisle.

An argument is a good way to learn, but it has to be more like a debate than I want to kick your ass type deal.
n other words you couldn't find a link.bob2356 says
A link to what? Where is your link showing police are ALL democrats?
I don't have a lot of time to screw with this so I'll give you a link to make you happy. Here's the head of the SFPOA saying that "many of our members describe themselves as republicans" trying to convince his membership to vote more democratic. Thats' in SF, the most democrat invested city in the country. Who do you suppose the cops in Fargo ND or Overland KS vote for?
http://www.sfpoa.org/journal/13/2012-08-01/we-are-republicans-democratic-needs
This is the point where a normal human being would say I fucked up. But I can count on you to dance around for a dozens more postings.
The rightwing embraces cops until cops no longer benefit them.
Hell, Bush was a Republican, and a fine, god-fearing one at that. But you destroy the world's economy one time, and the rightwing rejects ya.
So now the meme is that Bush is really just a Democrat.
Cops used to be fawned over by "law and order" types. They were "pigs" to the Democratic left. But yeah, sure, they're Democrats because of unions.
Moronic.
Here's the head of the SFPOA saying that "many of our members describe themselves as republicans"
Is this part you mean?:
"I am now an ex-Republican who believes in strong unions, fair wages, and comfortable pensions for every blue-collar work in America. I advise every one of you to listen to the words that come out of the Scott Walker's of the world and tell me where the average worker in America will be if his ilk gains power."
