Options pricing it like 48 by Friday
It opens at 68?
It would appear you are saying to buy a put?
BABA options wont be written until things settle in a week or two. Those are Yahoo premiums for Sep 20th which expects a huge move.
The 10% (Yhoo) out of money next day call is a whopping 25 cents. 20X normal as they are 1 in 100 longshots or around a penny normally.

Ok thanks, I was reading this:
"Jim Strugger, the firm's derivatives strategist, recommends buying Yahoo's November $43 call and selling the November $48 call. The position cost $1.53 when the stock was at $41.81. If Yahoo's stock is at $48 at expiration, the spread is worth a net $3.47, representing a return of 127%, which should rival Alibaba's IPO pop."
Be nice if someone actually knew if alibaba numbers are real or not. An awful lot of people are taking this on faith. If something seems to good to be true it usually isn't. Creative accounting isn't limited to the USA.
One thought. eCommerce company breaks IPO record. There is no way stocks are overpriced today. This is not 1999. Only a moron would not put all his savings on wall street.
It is for real all right, might be the biggest ever.
You know this how? I believe it's true because I feel it's true? Enron and worldcom were real too. Right up to the point they weren't.Both were audited by respected auditing companies right before they collapsed. No one has audited alibaba at all. You don' even own stock in the company. You own rights to the profit through a third party in the cayman islands.
Alibaba may be the greatest company on the planet or a pure house of cards. I don't know and neither do you.

Doesn't matter...
As long as you can buy shares using your iPhone6, that's what matters!
I can buy shares with my iphone 4s!
Is that better?
Yea but how do you know those numbers are real...bob2356 says

As were Sino Forest, RINO, Orient Paper, etc. I had a nice vacation buying otm puts on some of these with some loose change. The whole time, longs were screaming "But it's Audited by a Big Three Accounting Firm!" It was actually audited by a local company that brought the name (was it Deloitte, I forget?) like a franchise.
I remember watching Carson Block climbing over piles of cardboard, and pictures of paper rollers with calculators glued on the sides over the "Made in Dneipro, 1953. Ten Thousand Years Health to Mao Tse Tung". to make it look "High Tech".
Oh, CCME, forgot about them. They lied their asses off about their billboards, bus advertising, etc. They claimed digital bus ads in buses that didn't even have digital screens.
