Can't stand either of those chains. I'm a local guy. I'd rather pay a local business that has above average food than a chain that sells below average food at a higher price.

I do like BWW for a quick lunch with the wife 2-3 times a year. Their wings are fine. Wings are a food that I don't like overcomplicated. Give me a good sauce and that's the core of what you're eating. A chunk of a bird is fool proof. Have a good sauce.

Not dating ever again, but I wouldn't take a chick on a date to BWW unless they were a sports junkie and something was on they liked for the first 3-6 months. I'd do Top Golf, the food sucks, but a woman that can and wants to golf is hot to me. Now that I think about it golf is a top 3 date thing if you know how to play and have the patience to teach if they don't know. If you're in sale, male or female, golf is a must to know. You will look like an idiot if you don't know how to play if you do sales.

I didn't bring it up but after a few months of dating one told me under no circumstances would she ever go with me to Cheesecake Factory. I never understood why. That's the only place she mentioned. She must have read something about it in Vogue.

She has/had taste. Cheesecake factory is pure trash. Excellent at marketing, but not making good food. Not hyperbolic but I'll never go there again. It's 17 year old date night looking to impress. Problem is it's completely unimpressive from a culinary standpoint. No different than Red Lobster.

If a chick is impressed with those joints run, don't walk. Or at least be willing to work on the white or black trash that they are and show them a good place.

The food is almost any restaurant chain is edible; at least you won't get sick there.

I can't remember what I ordered at Cheesecake Factory nor Red Lobster; I was actually thinking about something else the entire time.

Probably for the obese thread, but portions are way too big when you go out to eat. A burger is a burger, but the they toss 1,000 fries on there. I've been going out to breakfast every Sunday for the last two months when my son does pole vault. I only eat half of the omelette and hash browns.

If I were dating today I'd go to places where the portions are smaller. Generally legit fancy places. If the girl is still hungry after a normal fancy dinner you'll have a land whale on your hands in the coming years. It's a good test.

One of my wife's good friends could eat anything she wanted and was actually cut and thin. Metabolism changed. She's fat now at 37. That won't ever change. She's used to eating more than necessary. Drop the $200 on the first date at a legit joint, but has smaller portions. You'll know in 1-2 hours if they're a keeper. Or they could be bulimic. But if they say they're stuffed I'd continue forward.

Yeah, any place that has 50 things on the menu is going to pretty much suck at all of them. But there are plenty of worse places so I wonder why she brought that up randomly out of the blue? It just seemed weird. Now seeing it as #1 on that list is also weird. Not saying I like the place or anything.

I did drag a chick from a bar in Palo Alto to the factory to, "Go pig out on cheese cakes", and we both ate a few in one sitting. Neither of us was fat. No complaints.

My wife and I invariably doggie bag and get a couple of meals worth, and I don't even eat the bread any more.
