A trillion times worse than lawyers.

Dentists are such ASSHOLES they should make the professions a branch of Proctology.

I was at this dental chain a few years ago for a regular checkup/cleaning. I saw this BS first hand when the dentist wanted me to go for a orthodontist consult (within the same office).

The reason this is so ridiculous is that my whole life dentists have always commented on my perfectly aligned teeth followed by visible shock when the dentist learns that I never had braces. An exact quote from the past, "I feel like I'm looking at the model in dental school." (You know, the statue of the mouth that they practice on...)

The very idea that I need an orthodontist is laughable. The only possible motivation was profit. Now I'm suspicious whenever a dentist suggests any work, and I refuse to go to a chain.

One of the other scams I have come across is the we don't do fillings scam. They want to do this other much more expensive procedure that your insurance won't cover..

I find that they are constantly wanting to replace fillings. I went 15 years with the same fillings... No one said a word. Now, every year there's supposedly one filling that must be replaced.

Going to the dentist is letting a Realtor into your mouth.

So, the people on the BMW forum are driving some of the most expensive cars in America, spending tens of thousands pimping them out, to make a chick magnet ass carriage that they can superficially display and burn up umpteen other dollars burning rubber and guzzling gas, and they are complaining about dental fees, which concerns their body, their health and personal appearance.

Makes sense.

I guess when you start thinking about those missing and hurting teeth, you should just go buy a flashy, spinning hubcap, instead.

The US is the only first world modern western nation without a universal healthcare system.

Canada, UK, France, Australia, New Zealand and pretty much all of europe has a universal health care system.

I never understand these stories. Every dentist I've ever been to, there's like 6 hygienists and assistants circulating around the office all the time. The assistant is the one who stays with me the whole time, as they are the cheaper labor. The dentist floats in at the last moment to do his thing, then moves on to the next patient.

That's taking it a little far. Doctor's aren't the ones who control the system. They are very specialized technicians who tend to focus more on the doughnut hole rather than the entire doughnut... which is why their industry went to hell at the hands of a bunch of businessmen and lawyers.

Perhaps you could install one for me in the backseat vents of my minivan... There's nothing worse than driving with a couple of bickering 10-year-olds in the backseat. You'd probably have to install a glass partition for my benefit. So, could you swing it?

Nitrous Oxide is one of the leading methods of suicide in dental hygienists and dentists, also accidental death. It is mind altering, so it is psychologically addictive (not physically), and can lead to a lot of neuromuscular problems if used in excess or frequently.

The gas is relatively innocuous when used infrequently, but abusers crank it up and the oxygen runs out first. They are unconscious and typically die of hypoxia/ aspiration.

They are often found dead in the dental chair with the mask on their face.

However, in your next post (Where you make a feeble attempt to insult me), you appear to complain about paying for the healthcare these professionals provide, not about the actual work that they do.

I believe in socialized medicine. I've seen it work in other places and trust that it can work here. I certainly don't blame the doctors & dentists for existing in the current system we have.

No - I think that they are people who study for years and cure many conditions that enhance the quality of life for their patients. In fact, I'm gonna be gone from patnet for a short period of time to recover after my doctor cuts some shit outta me that doesn't belong there So, unfortunately, for a little while I won't be around to read the shit that spews from your mouth like an asshole fountain.

You really should see someone about that.
