oh noes this is clearly the end of the world
oh wait it's not "all" cards just government-issued cards
I'm really embarrassed to have to share a country with you dumbshits
Today the micro chipped CC, tomorrow the tattooed bar code with GPS ink.
What's the issue with a bit more credit card security? Chip and pin has been around for a decade in the UK and elsewhere. It's a good thing.
We need more credit card security not less. I'm sick of the fraud business. Why is it still so easy to use a cc without PIN or even an ID?
It's got to be because the cc companies profit from the fraud. Otherwise why would so many Armenians be driving luxury cars?
Now the only concern is a push to a purely digital currency.
Where you can't hold physical paper and are tied to the credit and debit cards.
We won't be using paper money in my lifetime, for sure.
I go months without touching the stuff as it is.
This is only a concern to you if you're a right-wing nutjob.
pass the tinfoil, man
paper currency is not money, it represents money you've taken out of your account at your friendly neighborhood financial institution
Money is just a $ followed by some numbers.
welcome to the 21st century, LOL
Aren't microchips sending some sort of a radio signal make that easier for hackers to get into? My cards, can't be stolen from some radio receiver, you got to swipe mine.
Doesn't seem to me like microchips are more secure like the article wants us to believe.

That won't be a good way to go even for US. That'll let credit card companies collect 2-3% of every transaction in every economic aspect. Even our government can't afford that type of handout.

Yep ...tbat's what Putin keeps telling Crony Central Bankers....welcome to the 21st Century LOL!

Nope. The ones on the credit cards are full-contact deal. You're thinking about RFID chips like ones in passports now.

No. That's the Chase "blink" feature that's been discontinued.

Oh I see, now I don't want to renew my passport. My old one feels more secure because it doesn't have the radio installed in it.

So? I don't have space for paper in my skinny jeans
