Oops, looks like those sanctions are hurting. All that machinery and high tech equipment the Russians were going to buy from Germany, along with Polish Apples, with their gas/oil money, are rusting/rotting on the ground.
France better cough up some serious dough for non-delivery of those LHAs, punitive damages are in the contract they signed.
Why don't they build a pipeline between two points?
Why do they hate jobs?

Those sanctions are hurting Putin. The oil prices are hurting them too. Each dollar drop in oil hurts Russian exports by $3 billion.
Russia is a very well educated country with the potential of being a Germany. Yet, they make nothing. Could it be dictators like Putin who move Russia away from what works?

Not at all. Sanctions are a big kick in the pants to finally re-invest in Russian agriculture, which has languished from lack of attention and interest.
Here's a Russian farmer gloating about how his farm's diary sales are skyrocketing.

Play it just to hear a great chortling laugh.
US/Saudi Jihadia Alliance working to lower oil prices also puts American Fracking in deep freeze.

I'm sure Putin is celebrating low crude prices with cheap Walmart Champagne. "Andre"
That's all he can afford.

If sanctions are such a blessing, why are the Russians whining so much about them?

They aren't, only in the Neoliberal media do they find a few Yabloko Atlanticist Traitor 1%ers to whine about it.
That's not what people do when they're sanctioned - They get pissed off and start DIY.
Oh, forgot one more thing. It ain't 1975 anymore.
Need beef? Argentina and Brazil have it coming out of their ass.
Need computers? Get 'em from China.
Need fruit? Israel, India, South America got lemons and apples in droves.
Sanctions started in the summer of 2014. Take a look, Brook:
Substitutions are a bitch.

"Anything Poland or Spain grows, India and Chile grows better. They can grow apples and citrus cheaper than you..."
"Any cow Finland or Ireland milks, Argentina and Brazil can milk it better. Without EU nitpick regs, they can milk it better than you..."
