SWITZERLAND is not shown on this
list because it has
NO MURDER OCCURRENCE!
However, SWITZERLAND'S law requires that EVERYONE:
1. Own a gun.
Where in the world did you get that nonsense?
Didja learn anything from this??
Yes, that you will believe the most ridiculous nonsense imaginable if it comes from a source that you have been misled to trust.
I think the message is - loud and clear - that gun bans and restrictions DO NOT work!
Then why do the Swiss insist on banning automatic weapons and concealed weapons, among other restrictions?
Gun politics in Switzerland are unique in Europe. The vast majority of men between the ages of 20 and 30 are conscripted into the militia and undergo military training, including weapons training. The personal weapons of the militia are kept at home as part of the military obligations, however it is not allowed to keep the ammunition; Switzerland thus has one of the highest gun ownership rates in the world.[1] In recent times a minority of political opposition has expressed a desire for tighter gun regulations.[2] A referendum in February 2011 rejected stricter gun control.[3]
Any fool can quote Wikipedia, but Wikipedia is not a source, and besides it doesn't say what you said in the OP.
The only other "source" I can find saying the same nonsense that you said above is Mark Hillman / Helgeson. Are you Mark? If so, then I can see some of the underlying issues: a "conservative" Catholic retired Marine would feel inherently conflicted, since both "conservative" Catholics and Marines tend to believe in a top-down information flow based on loyalty. Alas the job of the Marine Corps tends to involve breaking the 6th Commandment, and a surprising number of "conservative" Catholics also support capital punishment and the accumulation of private wealth. It seems almost schizophrenic, especially with the self-deification.
Oddly, the US is way down the list...
Places not to go---gun violence
It is hard to believe, the general public can’t grasp this….
Please go all the way down the list for the "bottom line". . .
This is FASCINATING !!
WORLD MURDER STATISTICS
ALL (109) of the countries above America have 100% gun bans.
Wow, you have managed to discover poverty, drug wars, gang violence, civil wars, corruption, and non existent policing create high murder rates. What will you discover next, the sun rises in the east? Amazing enough (at least for you for everyone else it is DUH no shit captain obvious.) is if you look at the poorest cities in the US they have murder rates in the 20-40 range also.
Really they ALL have 100% gun bans? Maybe you should go to gunpolicy.org and find out the facts rather than embarressing yourself parroting some idiot blog. Example, it is totally legal to own an automatic weapon in el salvador, you can own up to 5 guns in honduras and as many as you want in jamaica, That was only the first three I checked. But hey don't let facts get in the way of a good rant.

I wonder why you left out the part about needing a gun permit after reserve service obiligation is up or the fact that it is almost impossible to get a carry permit? Want to compare other crime rates also? Switzerland is a very wealthy country with very little crime of any kind. Saying gun ownership is the reason is just ridiculous.

Paraguay allows Private Citizens to carry weapons, certainly the country does not have a 100% gun ban - they are all over the place here.
Here's a classified and a gun store.

"Nuevas en caja con 2 cargadores de 15 tiros
Calibre 9mm
Precio iva incluido
No incluye costo del carnet de tenencia"
New in the box with two mags with 15 round capacity, 9mm, Price includes Taxes, does not include cost of the permit
Permit != total gun ban.

I know plenty of Americans w/ Paraguayan Residency that have pistols and rifles.
Nor is there a "100% Gun Ban" in Brazil. I doubt most of the South American countries have a 100% Gun Ban, either. Venezuela certainly does NOT have a 100% gun ban or anything close to it. I doubt the Honduras bans private firearms, too.
Russia for sure doesn't have a complete firearms ban, either. It didn't even ban all firearms from private citizens during the Soviet Union, contrary to myth. Lee Harvey Oswald used to be a member of a skeet shooting club organized by his Minsk Radio Factory, that had shotguns. Every farm and forester in Siberia has, and AFAIK always had, access to shotguns and rifles. Otherwise you'd have very well-fed tigers and bears. I believe handguns, however, are illegal except in special cases like for retired Generals or VIP's bodyguards.
This is about as accurate as your false Alexander Tyler chain email.
Per 100,000 people in Honduras only 91.6 are killed by gun violence.
The remaining 99,901.4 make another 15,000 babies in a given year.
You people worry about the stupidest shit, while the house is burning down.
I get these emails all the time I use you guys as my fact checkers. Betweenst ya you stated that 6 countries did in fact allow guns, albeit some of them only allow some guns that are permitted.
Anyway this indicates to me that the vast majority (103) don't allow guns, yet still have a higher murder rate than the US.
Thanks for the information, in conclusion it looks like a safer country is one that allows guns.
Kind of like Chicago verses the places in the US with less stringent gun control.

So the 6 countries anyone checked have 100% ownership allowed that means the 103 not checked have 100% ownership banned. I'm glad to know you took the same statistics class as the captain and CIC. Do you want to talk about exponential next?
The only country that outright bans private ownership of guns is North Korea. So it looks like all countries are safer than North Korea using your "logic". That puts us back to poverty and war as the primary indicators of less "safety". Imagine that, what a surprise.
So the 6 countries anyone checked have 100% ownership allowed that means the 103 not checked have 100% ownership banned
Don't know go fetch me some information about that.
That puts us back to poverty and war as the primary indicators of less "safety".
Perhaps that would not be the case if they had guns...
ALL (109) of the countries above America have 100% gun bans.
Not all of them: Moldova, Estonia and Lithuania allow concealed carry by average citizens.
Well, I guess there is a list below of some places NOT TO VISIT.
