Leave it to beavers to contribute to an uncomfortable truth- are the polar bears aware of this plot to destroy the environment?
THe brilliance of right wingers is only surpassed by their amazing sense of humor.
What I don't get though is this. Did anyone ever say that there haven't always been large natural contributors of greenhouse gasses to the atmosphere ? In the case of carbon dioxide we always knew about huge amounts being put out there naturally and also absorbed back into plants, trees etc.
What does that have to do with the question of whether we add too much to the volume of greenhouse gasses put out there ?
Didn't the Fed put them up to this, providing the excess liquidity for dam construction?
What does that have to do with the question of whether we add too much to the volume of greenhouse gasses put out there ?
And what does that have to do with whether we should simply ignore the warming and move on?
When the climate changes there will be winners and losers. Those who try to change this game will become losers. Why don't we focus on becoming winners instead?
Global Warming the fault of beavers
Anyone who gets their environmental news from International Business Times is just asking for misinformation. You might as well get your dog news from Cat Overlord magazine.
How pathetic is the opposition to protecting the Earth from ecological collapse that they have to resort to blaming beavers for their problems? Talk about grasping at straws.

What ecological collapse? Climate changes happened before and there is still life on earth today.
We are a strong species. We will survive and we will thrive.

Is there such a magazine? I would definitely subscribe to Cat Overlord. :-)

... said the guy who gets his news from Russia Today. =))

Ecological collapse doesn't have to be complete. Climate change will cause mass extinctions.
We are a strong species. We will survive and we will thrive.
One does not make policy based on the rosiest of predictions. You wouldn't ignore ISIS on the optimistic outlook that it will go away and all its members will start hugging puppies and handing out flowers. Climate change is a far greater threat to your life, your security, your wallet, and your belly than ISIS.
Here are some of the consequences of climate change.
1. Climate change will cost hundreds of billions of dollars a year.
2. Hundreds of millions of people will be forced to move by 2050.
3. Dangerous infectious diseases could spread in the U.S.
4. Western wildfires could burn up to eight times as much land by 2100.
5. Water scarcity will hit hundreds of millions of additional people by 2100.
6. Hurricanes will increased in frequency, intensity, and duration.
7. Four times as many New Yorkers could live in areas that flood by 2050.
8. Millions of people and trillions in assets are at risk in coastal cities.
9. 136 of the world's most historic places could be lost to sea-level rise.
10. Global wheat and maize yields are already beginning to decline.
11. Small island nations could be destroyed.
12. There could be no more reefs after 2050.
13. The marine food chain could fall apart.
14. Within 300 years, 88% of New Orleans could be underwater.
15. Increasing droughts will make the driest regions even drier.
16. 63% of major wine regions will no longer be suitable for grape-growing by 2050.
17. Some reptile species could turn mostly female, potentially leading to their extinction.
18. Atlanta and New York could see twice as many stormy days by 2100, compared to the 1962 to 1989 average.
19. Many countries are losing essential water sources.
20. Air pollution in California could cause a public health disaster.
21. Equatorial regions and parts of the Antarctic will see up to a 50% decrease in their fisheries.
22. Thousands of plants and animal species will lose their native habitats.
23. 20 million more children will go hungry by 2050.
Even if you don't give a rats ass about tens of millions of children starving and hundreds of millions of climate refugees, the trillions of dollars of lost assets alone prove more than enough financial reason to end all pollution right now. The short-term benefits to the economy by polluting is utterly insignificant to the long-term loss of productivity and assets.
1. Climate change will cost hundreds of billions of dollars a year.
In added taxes that won't accomplish a thing.
2. Hundreds of millions of people will be forced to move by 2050
Wow, and you can predict the future, wow.
3. Dangerous infectious diseases could spread in the U.S.
Or not - again, you see into the future.
4. Western wildfires could burn up to eight times as much land by 2100
Or not.
And on and on you go forecasting the future. What miracle is allowing you to do this? Your accuracy rate please?

Wow, and you can predict the future, wow.
This is why replying before reading the article reference in someone's post just makes you look stupid.
Kill the beavers! Kill them ALL. Then the People! Kill them All!
Except the lesbian beavers, of course, they have an Exceptions Permit.
His closet belief in a higher deity.

Justin has had enough beaver to build Hoover Dam.
There's a dam that sucks like a Hoover? So it's not his finger the Dutch boy was putting in the dam.
Perhaps Dental Dam can encourage behavioral changes that stop global warming.
The only thing behind these damn dams is malinvested crony water liquidity. Fuck 'em. Fuck beaver!!
Doesn't Say's law tell us that the methane will be eagerly consumed?
Or was it cows ... no wait, we can't soak them for money so we'll blame people again.
However, while we wait.
