Wrong again. That's a lawyer's view on things and lawyers tend to be conservative. In fact, you conservatives claim that

- just because the police committed murder, doesn't mean they are guilty or should be punished
- just because the bankers and traders committed mass fraud, doesn't mean they are guilty or should be punished
- just because Bush committed crimes against humanity doesn't mean he is guilty or should be punished
- just because Reagan sold weapons to terrorists doesn't mean he is guilty or should be punished

We liberals firmly believe in upholding just laws, repealing unjust laws, and ensuring that the letter and the intent of the law are clear and consistent with each other. As such, I've called many times for the lawful prosecution in a fair and open court for police who commit felonies like murder, rape, sexual assault, kidnapping, and extortion. Conservatives like Strategist and CallItCrazy are the ones saying

Not true, on this website trial lawyers are number 9 contributing 46 million to the democrats.

It's a good thing Endogenous speaks for everyone about everything except carpet installation. Otherwise, could anyone hope to express the monstrous costs and consequences of the CRA?

From the site,

A lobbying heavyweight, the association has been battling any attempt at tort reform, including recent proposals to cap awards in medical malpractice lawsuits.

They are just funding their own financial interests. Republicans propose "tort reform", which is code to prevent people from suing big companies. These lawyers make their money in such suits.

This is just a case of a subset of conservatives not playing on their own team out of selfish interests. Conservatives will fuck each other over to further their own wealth.

Dan is all up in this thread like guilty as charged.

12   FortWayne   2015 Jan 4, 9:30am

That's their view of life, they should have a right to get away with anything and everything, but they go into shock when others repeat their behavior.

Just look at Dan on the site, he is a fine example of a liberal. He thinks people should be free to do as they please, as long as it fits his liberal biases. But he thinks anyone who applies same logic to their biases is a criminal.

And when Dan is losing an argument he quickly swings to something that happened a 100 years ago (slavery) in hopes to arise some emotional guilt, as if anyone can relate. You can point out to him reasonably why Obama is a bad president, and his only response will be something irrelevant like "but yeah there was slavery 100 years ago". Of course he doesn't go slightly further back when whites owned whites, or blacks owned Whites and Blacks in Africa... that part of history liberals ignore since it doesn't let them divide and conquer emotionally immature liberal adults.

13   indigenous   2015 Jan 4, 9:42am

Yup Dan is a chronic conflator, it is because he lack critical thinking skill due to his modern liberal disability.

14   Ceffer   2015 Jan 4, 10:30am

Reparations! It's guilt forever and justifies everything. Of course, since virtually everybody is a victim of ancestral atrocities somewhere along the line, there is no case or race specific exception.

Responsibility? I don't need no stinkin' responsibility. Just a justification for amorality and anarchy.

You realize that the "axiom" is only an assumption, of course.

It is an axiom - when did I deny it wasn't? The point is to emphasize it's an assumption, a premise. Dig?

That is not quite correct, the definition that is more appropriate is this:

"an established rule or principle or a self-evident truth"

I think of Praxeology in this way.

Premises can't be incorrect? You've been given various reasons by multiple people as to why the premise of a special pleading for an unmoved mover is not self-evident.

Praxeology is ill-named, since Praxis is the meeting of theory and reality, whereas Austrians like yourself take pride in a priori reasoning.

Axioms are premises, allegedly self-evident, or worse "Common Sense". Shit falls at different rates depending on how heavy it is. Women are subservient to men because the 2nd rib from Adam shit in Genesis. It's an axiom that Offenses to God are the worst sins, therefore masturbation is worse than rape.

These aren't axioms I pulled out of my ass.

These are Axioms found in Aristotle and your Thomas Aquinas' Summa Theologica.

Or the unmoved mover or all of praxelogy or all of mathematics. I'm not talking about any other work Aquinas or Aristotle did. Although it would be nice if you had a link instead of your usual conjecture.

On the other hand your a posteriori and the scientific method has brought us global warming, eugenics, the equality meme, centralized government, all in the name of the scientific method. Spare me the patronizing of axioms as your purported scientific method is laughable as it is applied today every other day we hear a study says do this a year later it is don't do this. It has given us anti depressants that are a boondoggle yet create horrendous side effects all in the name of science.

What, you didn't read the Summa Theologica? Or any Aristotle?

I thought you were an expert on "Thomisms".

I guess you read about it second (maybe third) hand from Tom Woods Junior, that beacon of knowledge.

Right. The Scientific Method is useless.

The Apollo program was based on Thomistic philosophy, not science. We can also thank Thomas Aquinas for the lightbulb, the combustion engine, and the internet.

I'm glad you show your true colors, however.

What can move two objects towards each other, without the need of action from either two objects or a third actor?

26   HydroCabron   2015 Jan 5, 7:10am

The CRA?

27   MisdemeanorRebel   2015 Jan 5, 7:54am

The CRA?

Proof by Logic:

P1. Black people commit crimes.
P2. Black people use CRA.
P3. The Housing Market Collapsed after decades of the CRA
C1. Therefore, criminal Black People using the CRA caused the financial crisis.

That is irrefutable a priori logic based on 3 solid axioms, vastly superior to empiricism and it's primary advocate, the vile scientific method which gave use Global Warming, Centralized Government, and the Kardashians.

No, dumb ass, empiricism is VERY subject to error and junk science. IOW it is not an unimpeachable source of information. Mainly because mutts say oh it's scientific therefore it must be true. This is the standard fare of the politicians.

That is sactly how you think, even though you think the parody is of me.

Again axioms are self evident truths. The CRA is not axiomatic.

Accepting the government as a force for good is just a meme, one that is promulgated from grade school on.
