Isn't profiting from the stock market kind of a peasant way to make money? It's not even theft, unless it's short selling or insider trading.

No high-class person of property should make an investment involving risk. Stock markets are declasse, dirty things, full of chance - for the little people, surely.
Better to manipulate benchmark rates from behind a screen, and do backdoor deals based on values you set.
